Wow!! That is a beauty, indeed!! Hopefully someone out there can give you the exact date, but at least we know it is over 90-years-old!! It will outlive us, lol.
I think that noise could be a crack in the housing that the motor is located in- worth trying it with the belt removed to eliminate any brushroll vibration, mine does not sound as noisy as this
What a cracking machine! 😍 My 504 makes a similar noise, i reckon the plastic has just warped or something 😂 I thought I'd bought a 506 a while back but when I got it home I found the base was a 506 and the body was a 560 🤦♂️ So its a handy garage vac now 😀
I had a mate whose mother got an Electrolux like this but at the beginning of 1979. He told me it made a racket like this straight out of the box, but it worked.
Have you ever had a numatic George? And have you ever seen any complaints from anyone about a numatic George? if no. There you go. Had mine since 2015. And it's never put a foot wrong.
They're pretty robust. They are also repairable with reasonably priced spares actually available. These are machines designed to actually last and used commercially. You will rarely find a professional cleaning company using a dyson, for example.
Hey, im sorry for the kick, but i was wondering. Why is it called speedcare? i asume that the during of the programs are just as long as on my miele wer875wps. or are the programs shorter?
They are high maintenance tho buddy. Brush roll replacement after 3months. And belt the same. Bag only goes half full before suction loss. And look after it. And it will look after you.
We had a Kirby cleaner growing up, the model was Heritage 2. I remember it having a carpet cleaner function. It did everything (including blowing up an air mattress and spraying paint😂). I think my dad got it around 1987. He’s still got it and it’s still going strong. A neighbour had the Kirby Legend 2 which I think came out in 1989. My dad bought off her for spares, however that one still works too, so he’s kept it as a spare vacuum instead. The sound of yours took me right back to my childhood😊 As babies the washer would send me to sleep and the Kirby would send my brother to sleep, no idea how as it was very loud lol. See Heritage 2 selling on eBay sometimes, tempted to get one
@@sillysid123 Couldn't notice it! I agree a regular bulb would look better. I have an LED bulb in my 519, but it burns yellow rather than white. I haven't replaced it since 2017, so it's good quality.
Lucky you, Sid! The actual 240V version of this model was the first Kirby to be sold in the U.K., Ireland, Europe and Australia mainstream, but as it had a shake out bag it consequently wasn't popular. It would not be until the Tradition 3-CB, with its disposable paper bag system, that Kirby would have success outside of North America to a degree.
Yeah meant to say the first in Europe . But instead I sed UK. Sorry. And yes that's right. This and the 2cb wasn't popular due to the shake out bag. And trad was the first popular Kirby and thousands were sold. Because of the replacement paper bag. 👍
We are thinking of buying this one ❤, how does the steam work? And is it as good as ironing? if you wouldn't not mind answering please It's a minefield out then searching for the right one thanks 😊
Hi. Tbh really. I haven't even tried the steam function. I dont have any shirts. For ironing. It does very well. I never get creased clothes. sorry I couldn't answer most questions.
Can i ask a question, and i mean this with no distespect at all, what do you enjoy about hoovers, what is the fascination? Is this akin to people who collect dolls, trading cards etc? Genuinely interested to know....we are not all ignorant on things we dont understand but like to know.❤
No worrys. With mental problems. It was chill out and calming me down Wen a subject of vacuums was up. It is the same as collecting anything and a hobby. Especially vintage wise. That's all.
Absolutely love this machine and so jealous that you met Dorian and did a demo together. I hope one day he will come to this side of the pond and we could do a video together. Great job mate 😊
