my (imported) kirby dual sanitronic d80, all the way from the USA. doing a full flat demo.
sadly by the end of this video. she got soo hot. i burned myself.
not what i wanted so she will sadly have to go soon.
sadly she has now been scrapped.

Sorry to hear you got burned. Some of those motors do get really hot. I had a Classic 3 that did that. The metal would sometimes become so hot you could burn your hands if you didn't let it cool off. The only thing I can think of is those two-speed motors. I have a 519 and it gets a little warm like your 562, but not hot. I once had a D80 and I loved it. I did sell it around 2015-2016 because I needed the money. It was a great performer! I still have it on my channel if you care to see it.

Many thanks. Ye the sanitronic 7 . Didn't even get warm. But the d80 overheated. Yeah will look at yours. Sadly it's difficult to import an old kirby from the states now. As most of them won't ship to UK.

@@sillysid123 Yeah, that sucks. If I remember right, I think either the Classic 3 or Tradition was the first Kirby to make it over there in the late 70s-early 80s. Y'all mostly have Hoovers in the UK. I love them, too; especially the Hoover Junior model 119. That is a neat little guy.

@@sillysid123 Oh, cool! Thanks for watching. I made a few here recently. I have had my 519 since childhood and I have experimented on it a lot. I customized it and put bigger wheels on it and had a zipper put in a spare bag to convert it to using disposable HEPA bags. It filters a lot better and I don't have to empty it outside anymore.
