Personally I think having at least some unexplained/supernatural stuff left as loose ends would’ve made the game a lot better. Like strange noises and sounds to add to the horror that you experience earlier on
@@timmytartarsuace8327 I get what they were going for, they wanted to make it lean more toward a narrative adventure rather than a full blown horror game, but if they did the opposite, I think you’re right, it would thrive in the horror genre.
@@timmytartarsuace8327 Yeah, that’s definitely a great idea, I know some people on here that have been watching for a while that would love to be a part of that as well, I’ll get that made very soon and announce it in the community posts on here!
Facepunch are the best devs in the business, hands down. Whatever they do, I'm sure it'll be awesome (or slowly become awesome with constant updates). They get my money.
in my opinion, nature is great whether it is realistic or not. It helps building a whole environment for us as players. for example RDR2 has one of the most realistic worlds in video games and that helps the story a lot. Thanks bro for this great content.
I love the sincerity you provide in your videos. Keep going and keep being geniune, much needed in this world. By the way, thanks for showing Horizon Zero Dawn. I hate the fact that game is lowkey one of the most beautiful and original games ever made and yet, while it is properly rated, never comes up in conversations like a RDR, GOT, The Witcher...
I can't allow it bro, not on my watch. Just saw a comment where you said you haven't played RDR2, YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. I don't know you, but I just know you will absolutely love it, It has everything you like in videogames + masterpiece of a story. This is the only game I can say that has no match, just a masterpiece.
I try my best to be as much like myself as I can, and not just another online character like everyone else. It’s hard to find the balance because I still have to talk in somewhat of a presenting type of voice, but it’s more than worth it. And, the curse of Horizon is insane, the first game was overshadowed by Breath of The Wild, and the second was with Elden Ring. It’s so sad to see because the sequel and the original were masterpieces.
@@CFC_45 Yeah I keep hearing that. I honestly have never played a Rockstar game before at all. I’ve barely even played a GTA game. It’s so strange that I haven’t though because I play so many games every single day that are much smaller. I definitely NEED to play RDR2 this week before more comments come bully me.
@@joffedy I didn't played RDR2 at release. I'm very weird in the sense that I dedidcate certain periods of time to specific games, same with cyberpunk, 2 years after release. I waited for the right moment, December of 2020. Don't force yourself into it, I'm sorry if it bothered you but play the game when you feel is the right time to play, that's also key in video games. For example, I've never played Outer Wilds but played wanted to. With your videos, I realized this is the perfect time to try it.
@@joffedy keep going, brother. This world is full of bad things and you're a beacon of light in it, at least for me and other people. I can see what you mean, you put the content first, but always remind us that behind it, there's people, love, friendship, ideas, etc. I believe this I why I love history, I can assume you do to. This is why I wanted to comment, to let you know there's people who love the way you transmit your ideas, and the sincerity you provide. I just love that the has allowed me to connect with you, and it makes me happy you're able to the same with something you love and with thousands of people. I hope things go your way and again, don't force yourself into RDR2, that's not the way to do it. 🫡
Your outro hit me pretty hard. It was also really nice to play Cyberpunk 2077 and for the first time in maybe 10+ years for me - just want to walk around the city, explore the alleys, walk into shops to buy stuff I didn’t need and explore without purpose. That game nailed that aspect.
Games need to do that a lot more, instead of just adding buildings and shops you can’t enter, they should focus on making every building explorable. It would be hard to pull off but I don’t doubt that developers could start to do it.
I could point out that in the footage you used while saying games can only achieve the "living" quality with flora, you showed clips where flocks of birds took off in the distance, and a clip where a dragonfly and other insect flitted about in a low marsh. Dont forget about my insect pals. NieR Automata has flocks of birds that the player can interact with similar to the moose and boars. Others have already pointed to Elden Ring (which also has my insect friends in scarabs, butterflies, and fireflies.)
I agree that they help to fill up worlds, but I only put in those clips to present the atmosphere around them, not them specifically. Worlds would definitely be very empty without them and people as well though.
Nice, thats a great list, all the games presented definitely have amazing environment feel to the point of being incredibly immersed above many other games that try to do the same thing. I played Hunt Showdown for a long time because it let me ignore and avoid other people and just enjoy the zombies by myself. I tried playing it a few months ago, but unfortunately the second i jumped into a game after not playing for half a year, i got instantly killed by a hacker who followed my every step and knew exactly where i was after spawn. Hunt Showdown would be next level if they just made a co-op mode vs a deadly AI map. The devs put 1000% effort into creating an immersive NPC saturated zombie world, but then they focused 1000% of their time and energy on making it a PvP game where 95% of the playerbase just ignores the environment so they can play "1800s counter strike" Always seemed like such a wasted opportunity. The game is perfectly situated to make an "1800s deep rock galactic" game mode, and the devs just dont see it, or dont really care.
@@darkranger116 Hopefully, with the new overhaul of the gaming coming up next month and the new map, it will see a spike of new players and non-hackers. I would love to be able to enjoy the ambience of that game more often.
I enjoy some DENSE grass in my games!! Good video as always man! Something I haven’t really heard people talk about for games! The Environment that you play in is so important! Makes or breaks the game! God bless you dude hope all is well with you! :)
TLOU 1+2 and Elden ring have been my favorite gamescapes, Witcher 3, Skyrim and fallout were good for their time, but something about the crumbling cities wrapped in vines and long forgotten captures my imagination like no other.
I completely agree. Seeing a plain which was once inhabited by so many sit in ruins just gives off an eerie, comforting feeling I can’t really describe.
@@Mitch_Games747 That’s amazing to hear. Minecraft is unlike no other game when it comes to bringing groups of people closer through such simple but amazing gameplay.

Just picked up Minecraft 360 on Xbox 360 just to replay the top tier version of the game I really don’t care for current gen Minecraft. I been playing 360 a lot the past couple of months. Goated console
I have always been a bit more different from the other kids, i had a hard time fitting in, and a hard time making friends too. So the only real friends i had were my parents, Every day after school i would come home to play Minecraft and make cool little houses. It was nice and calm. Thank you so much for this video it brings back so many memories from when i used to play on my xbox 360, and honestly helped me look at life differently, to try and appreciate the little things, because they matter the most if you look at them on a different perspective.
@@notmix00 I relate to you more than you could ever know, I was the same way, if I wasn’t around my family I would just have to sit alone instead and find how to enjoy the solitude. I turned to Minecraft to build these extravagant worlds back then to me even though I knew that nobody would probably ever see most of them. Who knew I would be so wrong in assuming that because after all the years o finally got to show people what I made and the memories that come with it all. I’m so glad that you could relive some of your own memories from watching this, and it’s amazing to see just how alike so many people really can be without even knowing. We may not have had friends back then, but you can be sure that you have a friend in me now.
As a person who's watched multiple documentaries and video essays on him this is a great video all packed up in 10 minutes, showing his entire journey and how tormented he was. Super underrated dude !! His case was so inhumane especially when they cut out his food supply, poor guy had to heal from all the trauma god knows how hard he had it becoming a normal member of society again. Saying it again but this is very underrated! Hope you garner lots of loyal viewers in the future!!
I thought we were going to see your Minecraft Xbox 360 worlds and nothing more, not receive a class about the values of life, what we should and should not do and how to be happy in a world full of people who only think about themselves and they don't care what happens to others. Thank you Joffedy, for making me see what direction to take in a life that I thought was lost, really thank you
@@wt971 You’re so welcome, that’s what I’m hear for, even if I don’t always make the best decisions, and even if I don’t always know what to do personally, I try my best each and every day to improve others and preach positivity as much as I can. I’m so glad you found what you were looking for in what I produce and I hope you know you have a friend in me.
This is actually sad he doesn't see anyone for months while getting starved then when he got out he got put back in and when he got out again he got put naked infront of a whole crowd
Hey man, its like 3 am right now, and I just finished watching your video. I really think this video was great. I love how you talked about not just the nostalgia factors, but problems in your own life too. I really can relate to some of the stuff you said. If they add the original gmod into the game, i'll play the hell out of it. I want to play the exct same game i used to, but without engine restrictions. If someone does this, and from what i see they can, and i am sure someone will, then shut up and take my money.
