I'm glad you were able to step back from the situation and assess that you couldn't fairly judge the pageant but it's sad to see the whole video be so biased towards Coral Bay. For the swimsuit, you compliment her throwing away the outer layer but every girl did that and you only highlighted it on Coral Bay. In the evening gown, you showed her entire performance and complimented her wearing red but Kingshill was also wearing red and the main comment you made on Frederiksted had to do with her dress color and her hair color. You only showed her ending pose but missed the ending poses of all the other girls that also used their dress or hands. You then highlighted Coral Boy self love message but didn't highlight Cinnamon Bay's domestic violence tribute or Reef Bay's armed forces or Christiansted's sex trafficking work. Kingshill was only mentioned for her hair being too much in the front for evening gown and her swimsuit color in the swim round. Coral Bay was a great competitor but this video seems overly promotional to your coaching services.
Coral bay was the first I noticed to throw the outer layer. Didn’t see a need to repeat that for every other contestant. I thought the red really stood out on her fair skin with the black hair. I think a brighter hue of red for Fredericksted would have better suited her. I add in random clips of contestants unless I mention a specific turn or pose. I try to add that one in to match my commentary but it doesn’t always make the final edit. For speeches and questions I highlight something that stood out to me about what they said. I typically don’t comment on every contestant because I don’t always have a ton of feedback back. Since the numbers were low I decided to say a little something about every performance because time allowed for it. I didn’t coach Coral Bay or any other contestant for the pageant. Their performances are attributed to their own work or current team, not my services.
Miss world compitition is for Talented, Brilliant and confidence woman.. While miss universe is for those who could not able to win miss world. Miss universe is for weak woman... As you see Miss world winner's are more stronger than miss universe winner's...
Regarding the pronunciation of Valle, most Latin American countries pronounce the double l (ll) like the sound of the letter y so you would be right to do a soft “VaYe”. In Spain and Dominican Republic, we pronounce the double l more like the letter j so “VaJe”. Same imgoes for other double words like rain which is “lluvia”.
Cainta is a town in the province of Rizal,thats why she must as representatiive as Rizal and not Cainta, ia there sonwthing wrong in the show ,why Cainta? Bulacan is a province ,that consists of 24towns some become cities now like Baliuag, SJDM,and Malolos

There are rumors amongst her fellow countrymen that she is the most unprettiest Miss Colombia ever. Just saying. Oh, and don't ask Venezuelans about her. Tee hee.
I disagree to Taguig knowing that women for the past decades dominantly took over the society even here in the Philippines. Most women succeed to their goals and the profession they want to have. Don't get me wrong but i believe she's out of the reality. Lol
This is probably the most random pageant you have covered but I love it! Thank you Dani for bringing attention to a pageant in an underrepresented country.
By virtue of her top 5 answer, Reef Bay may have had it in the bag until the final question in which she repeated many of the same things she said in her top 5 Q&A and said it a lot less effectively. Maybe she could try for Miss Universe USVI.
The problem is none of these girls are from the US Virgin Islands. They are just white women from other states that want to compete in an international platform. All the local Virgin islanders have condemned this pageant but everytime they try to comment on their social media sites their comments are deleted. Imagine lets say a random woman from Maine or California representing "Kenya" or "Russia" at Miss Universe? I know it is Grand but there should be rules against this. The first winner never even has been to the USVI. Like how is this allowed?
Thanks again for sharing your recap of the GVI pageant. I love that you always give remarks that will encourage a contestant to improve her presentation and interview/public speaking skills. I was confused about the gown changes. First was the gown competition, then they changed into a white gown for top five and their statement, then they changed back into their competition gown for top three Q & A and crowning. Seemed strange to me.
Typically at Miss Grand International finals, the top 10 contestants change into a different gown, or outfit, to present their speech. I'm guessing that's why they had these contestants change.
Brian is fellow Global Beauties judge and has tons of experience with all pageants and last year he learned a lot of details about MGI. I almost consider myself the person who is one of Top all around in preparation of girls for MGI as I live in Thailand and go to all Grand Province rounds and know everyone from org including K. Nawat and all top designers and photographers and stylists and choreographers and all fan pages so I do major marketing and training and writing speeches. All my girls made it to top 10. Waiting on the right girl to take her to the crown. It’s advantage to live here. BUT DAMN BRIAN MASTERED IT FROM FAAAAR AWAY.. I know he is already teaching his girl everything and beware she is not coming to play. Definitely top 5 minimum. I will be rooting for my Czech girl, SPAIN (oh my god goddess), future Cambodia as we are close with org and coming to prelim and finale and next year on team preparing the MGI finale.. and of course I am rooting for BRIAN. I knew it won’t be in Myanmar. It was a cover for no one getting the rights so I expected the announcement that it’s not happening there. Even Myanmar ND and winners don’t live there. I was hoping it will be home in Thailand. And I know Nawat called Ivan during finale of Miss Mega Bintang if he can organize this year and he said he is willing to do finale but not activities so it might be split. I hope Cambodia and Indonesia. But now I hear rumor that USA. Damn it Rachel 😂 I am not going to USA for it. Or maybeeeeeeeee….. I WANT TO BE THERE FOR BRIAN AND ROOT FOR OUR GIRLS
The secret judge is over the top. VERY miss grand 😂 And Dani don't be upset in the automatic results in Grand because that's will eventually happen too in the Miss Grand International they just adopt to it 😂😂😂 I love the theatrics of this pageant system.
@@DaniWalker maybe the main reason of the secret judge is to know the character and attitude of these girls behind camera and the admin of the organization. Eventually she has a lot to say which is going to be the winner especially in the deliberation of which is the better representative. And in addition Ms. Dani, Nawat usually picks the top 5 in the preliminaries, and then most probably he decides on the finals night which is the winner. That's why the Announcement of the top 20 to the top 5 was so fast. The candidates were solely judged by one person.
@@PinkyPantherDragQ Yes and they don't announce the judges. They only announce the sponsors of the event. I've learned to love Grand of how it is as a system. I find them Chaotic but exciting 😆❤️
