I am Amy Comer, formerly Amy Booth of BlueRose Kennels. Many of you may also know me by my maiden name Amy Rodrigues. I've spent my whole life dedicated to breeding, raising, training, grooming and competing with AKC show dogs. I created this channel in 2020 during COVID as a way to share dog show tips and tricks I learned throughout the years. In 2022, I retired from actively campaigning dogs and now work in the Software Development industry. I'm still involved in breeding and showing some of my own Brittanys, Smooth Fox Terriers, and Golden Retrievers but on a much smaller scale. You did a nice video. However, you can go back and edit and remove that stupid virtue signaling BS mask part. Masks don’t work and it really ruins your very good video.
Do you show your dogs? I woukd be interested in any video's tou have on grooming the Smoth Coat Fox Terrier. I'm hoping to get an show one some day. Right now I have an Irish Wolfhound that I show.
Kindly what type of stripping knife have you used... there are many stripping knives available in the market with wider tooth, narrower tooth etc... which one to use for ears... TIA
Am I supposed to cut any of the hair inside the ear out? My baby girl gets curly hair under her ear canal because of what I assume is from her earwax but it never knots but also never uncurls.

@show2winAR Got any tips for tail trimming? And feathering (front leg and butt)? I have a conformation bred golden I used to show, I groom him myself and his tail is SO thick and fluffy. He has gotten many compliments over the years on his "Farrah Fawcet" tail!! 😆

Was wondering if anyone more knowledgeable may be able to halo me: I do low level local shows with my Papillon ans have fallen in love with it, simply as a hobby. His father was a crufts line so it seems to be in his blood because he loves it and trots around so pretty. Ive only ever showed him in harnesses because i worry about hurting his trachea but he can walk on a sliplead. Should i switch to sliplead for shows or just stay lower level shows and harnesses? If ao, how should i show him that this lead means work? Hes very small for his breed so im not aure whether to risk it or not. Thanks x
Thanks for posting this. I just have a young dog that I think he'll be a great special, but I'm not sure how to condition and groom him to get ready for specialing
