Games inspire curiosity, drive creativity, and create communities.
Erin, a lifelong Disney fan, and Liam, a life long gamer, are diving into the world of Lorcana and exploring how games can make the world a better, more magical place.
We're bringing you interviews with Lorcana artists, exploration of gameplay and lore, as well as all the latest news and coverage of the game. We are excited to build a worldwide Lorcana community, bringing together Disney fans, gamers, and collectors.
As we learn about the game and grow the community, we would love it if you would join us! Make sure to subscribe and hit that bell so you never miss a video! And send us a message or email! We want to know what kind of content you would like to see.
Together, this husband and wife team are the Illumiteers. Mouseketees + Illumineers = Illumiteers!
Am I the only one who's go-to is inklands red and blue cards? You got Scrooge Cogsworth and Della (reckless and wait a minute combo) Dragon fire Maui and heihei combo (in MA belly (maui's ability)) Kakamora agrabah Grama talla Its amazing
@@Jake-ve9bd no, it is a great deck. It just requires a bit of skill and experience to pilot properly. Hence, why it’s lower on the list. Probably not the best deck for a newer player, but, great overall!

Glad I’ve finally got a chance to catch up on this episode! Clara might well have been the highlight of the DLC for me (watching from home) from the games Day 1 and Day 2
Great cast only listen a couple times so far but as a headphone / in car listener, idk if this is live streamed but maybe after in editing please mix sound volumes. Sometimes it got veryyyy loud haha 😅 but yes congrats Zan and thanks for the content you guys!
@@YouKnowIKnowFTW thanks for the feedback. The episode is filmed live and goes straight to YT as soon as the episode ends. We’ve been trying to fix the volume issues during filming. Do you happen to remember who is coming across louder than the others? I’ll spot check it on my end, just thought I would ask!
Hey Liam, we met at the Vegas challenge. At your suggestion I wrote a roughly 4 minute PG stand-up comedy set about Lorcana! I've also crafted a couple spicy decks for set champs I could talk about. Let me know if you'd want to have me on the stream or if you have any questions.
@@DividendsMaster you’re right! After they introduced the game in Atlanta, they did change the Lore goal to 15. They also changed the starting hand to 5 at the recent challenge. So, the format evolved a bit from when they first introduced it.
Just heard the cheating story and from what he said it could have been an honest mistake. How many times have you asked someone what how you played those cards cause you were distracted thinking about your next play or something else? He feels like it was malicious because of a question about how you played two characters? I don’t think that player deserved to be kicked. Not based off of that story.
It was a bad question a good player wouldn't ask. He then hid his hand when he usually didn't hold them like that. He also had the same exact thing happen in an earlier game. Don't be obtuse.
@@ProvocativePixels no, you are both right. We didn’t mention in the episode that the player had something similar happen in a previous game and we should have. The issue wasn’t out of the blue, as I understand.
Mad props to Zan for building the winning deck, winning the tournament AND DQ'ing the cheater to make the entire tournament better for everyone. You rock.
Just getting into this game. Not only to play but collect. So happy I stumbled onto your channel because I was literally just looking at some starters lol😂😂😂
My brother and I opened 12 boxes and almost completed the all holo set for it! We pulled 4 enchanteds, and got the Mufasa graded as a PSA Gem Mint 10! Really excited for completing the set
As for someone who has never played a card building game, I watched your video for where to start. But you used a lot of terms I didn’t understand. Like “top decking”. No idea what that is. Just some feedback! Thanks for the info.
Top decking is a literal term where you are trying to get the card you want but you are limited to just drawing a card on your turn. I can understand the frustration though but sometimes just looking up the term helps as well like bouncing, which is slang for an effect that puts cards back into the opponent or your hand.
Absolutely, we are happy to be on one! Look foward to the next opportunity to be on! The community is absolutely phenomenal, can't wait for what's to come.
Am I the only one who thinks Timon and Pumbaa are genuinely a couple? 😅 I mean they definitely would have to be asexual but I always saw them as Simba's adoptive Dads. How many people spend their entire lives with someone who is just a friend and raise a child together? Sure friends who are co-parenting exist but them just being a couple seems like the more straightforward explanation.
How about making it a rule to keep ink turned face up until end of turn? Not sure why it wouldn’t be a rule. I mean - they literally make you if you’re on stream at a challenge as Joe mentioned. It’s good practice and should be the rule. What am I missing?
What's the penalty for attempting to ink twice in a turn 🤔 sure you have to show your opponent that card but if someone were to get away with double inking that would be such a huge unfair advantage. If the penalty wasn't very high then it leads me to think always turn over the card so your opponent has to use their brain power to focus on you not being able to double ink instead of focusing on their next play 🤔
The only thing I disagree with is that there is bluffing in this game. Good players know that. Being shady and concealing things is not. But bluffing? 100%.
Totally agree. Bluffing and hiding information is a part of the game. But there is a difference between bluffing and obscuring game date, I think. Thoughts?
@@Illumiteers Well, maybe next time. I was planning on Vegas but a car accident took that out of the picture. As always, I wish you and the family all the best.
I mean, we know the Dime can do it…but it’s still cool seeing it happen :) 2 to 19 Lore in a single turn is pretty awesome. Thanks for some fun games on stream :)
I'll admit, I do the hand shuffling/no talking thing if the match is really close. Nothing against the other player, and I'm not mad at them. I am just focused.
@@tylerpartain3743 thanks for the comment. Several people mentioned in the live comments that they do this to focus - and it helps. So, you’re not the only one! I don’t hand shuffle myself, but I realized a while ago that I do chip shuffle while playing blackjack, and it’s a similar thing.
