To call her a murderer would cost you a fortune if she was still alive. The verdict wasn't "not proven" it was "not guilty". And there were good reasons for that. But the song is funny.
@annedonovan9005
@annedonovan9005 4 года назад
There have always been questions about this case. In spite of the 'not guilty' verdict many ppl have long believed that she did it. Aspects of her version of what happened just don't add up. Having worked in law enforcement one thing I learned is that when someone keeps changing their story they're hiding something. Her story changed more than toilet paper rolls in a public bathroom. But back then it was really hard for ppl to believe a woman could do such a thing. But they could. And they did.

On this day in 1893 {June 20th} Lizzie Borden was found innocent of the 1892 ax murders of her father & step-mother in Fall River, MA {the jury deliberated for only an hour and a half}... Ms. Borden passed away on June 1st, 1927 at the age of 66... May she R.I.P., if she was really innocent???
@PvblivsAelivs
@PvblivsAelivs 7 лет назад
Juries cannot issue a verdict of "innocent." They can only give a verdict of "not guilty," which means the state did not prove its case. That said, I doubt anyone here has any evidence of her guilt that the state lacked.

The reason Lizzie killed her Parents is because she snapped Andrew molested his daughter she couldn't talk about it because of the time and Abby knew it was going on yet she did nothing to stop it.
@MegaWolfgang
@MegaWolfgang 10 лет назад
Any evidence for that, or is this the usual female tactic of playing a victim card?
@PrincessKarrah
@PrincessKarrah 10 лет назад
MegaWolfgang There was a Doc, on Discovery Channel Lizzie Borden Had an Axe where they had someone who profiles the dead./criminals profile L.B he believed that she was molested. Before I saw it I believed I because alot of people hate there moms/stepmothers they don't kill them. Abby had to have known that Andrew was doing that yet she let it happen.
@MegaWolfgang
@MegaWolfgang 10 лет назад
it is all hear say and rumor. No evidence at all that Andrew was anything but a normal father to Lizzie and her sister. But when a woman is accused it seems male victims are always blamed for their fate in some way. None of the other women even get accused oh no. just the father.
@PrincessKarrah
@PrincessKarrah 10 лет назад
MegaWolfgang I find that annoying that woman like Jodi Aries, and Casey Anthony make it that why but I don't think that's the case here.

Well, the law says you're only innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, so the converse would seem to be tghat if you're proven not guilty in a court of law, then you're not innocent. . . I'm pretty sure Lizzie's not too concerned with what anyonethinks of her at this point -- that's the one beauty of death(that & cheating your creditors & making yuor life insurance pay out!)
