Follow me along my adventures as I compete in college bass fishing tournaments, go on weekend camping trips and film my DIY boat videos. Although I’m based out of Virginia, I try to travel around as much as possible!

Nice information vid man. I’m getting ready to buy a similar jackplate and install on my 17’ aluminum Bass Tracker so that I am able to adjust the height on my 60/40 Mercury jet drive. Nice to see it done before I start my project.
Gas is very important. Ethenol free 89 or 90 is Ideal. Shell premium is excellent as its carbon fighters cleans real good. Poor Seafoam or starbrite (one can per 20 gallons gas) into a near empty tank and run it at least til you burn 20 gallons to add another can. I would at least run engine on a lake till 1/4 tank or near empty at least once every 4 month (can go longer with starbrite gas stabilizer. Off subject... I would buy a grease gun and some triple guard grease and attach to the 3 fittings for your steering and trim. pump slowly till you see grease oozing out (see youtube videos). Good day folks.
A direct injection motor is supposed to start on the first spin every time my Yamaha 115 2 stroke starts on the first spin every time hot or cold outside
Ive had a look at a BRP e tec 250, the large nut under the rubber cover for turning the crank is solid, Im new to these, is there a locking pin / lever? or is the engine seized? its very very clean! thanks
Idk if this is still useful to you but you should be able to turn the engine over using that nut. It will be difficult due to compression of the engine but it should turn over. If you cant get a socket on the nut you could probably strong arm the flywheel by hand.
This just seems hokey... why do you need a giant Fuze holder for each item with 10-12ga wire when the unit has 14-16ga wire. You can't pull more amperage than the factory harness will allow for and just running huge connectors/individual Fuze holders is cluttered and unnecessary. There's a reason audio installers don't have a bunch of posilock connectors instead of mounted fuse blocks and trust me they are looking for clean power or their units clip and fry... also im not sure what size fuze they include for your units and running a higher amperage fuze on any unit leaves the unit unprotected from over amperage as well as then becomes a fire hazard...
I put mine on by myself, it sucked some parts of the day because I would get it leveled out and when I put the clamps on , one side would slide down as I’m marking it. Next time I’m gonna make a template
Is yours set up to a 36volt system? I was wondering if just the two wires (one red and one black) in your old receptacle wired together with the other two (one red one black) from the trolling motor will work on 36 volts, if so then that’s how I’m gonna do it.
I can’t recall off the top of my head but I believe they were the fuses lowrance provided for the graphs. The size varies based on what graph you have and should be listed in the manual of the graph you have.
I like your video but think the hooks on those baits are stupid sharp and sticky. Plus they are perfectly weighted already. I fished mostly Gamis too but feel those megabass hooks are crazy sticky! Thanks
Yeah those mega bass hooks are crazy sticky. It’s more of a confidence thing for me. Last season the g finesse treated me really well so I’m just going to stick with them
Can you tell us the areas of the lake where you caught the most largemouth and smallmouth? It's a big lake and I'm kayaking so I'd like to narrow down my search! Thanks!
I’ve been taking my kayak out here 1-2 times a week for the past few months, caught the same exact small guys you caught but have gotten fish every time I’ve been out. Super great spot to enjoy a beautiful day!
I’m not sure if these are as sensitive as the Ficht motors but if you put a prop on it, make sure you take a look at your WOT spec and prop it to meet that RPM. Again, I don’t know if the E-Tec engines are as sensitive, but the Ficht motors HATE being lugged. Also maybe do a treatment with Yamaha Ringfree every once in a while.
Do you still own a Ficht? I have a 2002 150hp with about 200hrs. I know the previous owner. It sat for quite a while but has always been good. Cranks right up, runs great. Knock on wood. I think it loves me being the new owner as I use it very often. I will keep it until I have no choice but to re-power.
