Welcome to my hiking and wild camping channel! My name is Martin, and I'm an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves exploring nature and sleeping under the stars.
I created this channel to share my adventures with you and inspire you to get outside and experience the beauty of the great outdoors for yourself. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just starting out, there's something here for everyone.
I believe that spending time in nature is one of the most rewarding experiences we can have as humans as it allows us to connect with ourselves and the world around us in a deep and meaningful way.
So if you're ready to lace up your boots and pack your backpack, join me on this journey as we explore the wonders of nature together and discover the true beauty of the great outdoors.
Nice one Martin, colours looked great. That camera continues to amaze me! Make the most of that fine weather, the cold will be creeping in when you get over here next month. ATB mate.
Hey Ben. Cheers! Yeah the camera really is superb and excited to see how much I can get out of it. A balmy 29c forecast tomorrow and then staying around 25c for a few days after some recent REALLY heavy rains, so looking forward to some cold stuff. I'll s'app ya in a few days with some lightly pencilled in plans but it will all be weather permitting. Looking forward to it! ATB mate :-)
You've made an impressive job on color grading, hats off for you! If I'd change something, it would be how you positioned the title and subtitle at the beginning and would soften a bit the increase and decrease of the video clips speed (and zoom in) with a S-curve shape at Da Vinci Fusion spline. I'd put the subtitle at the left position, right below the Title, and would move both to the middle third of the screen (when using the rule of thirds grid). But note that's only personal preference and I reaffirm your grading is super-B, really cinematic as well as your music choice. Perfect combo 👏👏👏
@@claudiocsp1 hi! Thanks! Its exactly the kind of feeback i like. I used capcut for this as my pc cant handle Davinci too well (i hope to upgrade my pc soon) thanks again and all suggestions clearly noted 👍🙂
Cracking video that Martin, those views were absolutely stunning you really do live in a fantastic place, not jealous or nothing lol . Beautiful place for a hike ATB Mark & Simon 👍👌
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors hey fellas. Thanks for watching. Yeah its an amazing place. A good 4 hour drive from where i live but i was up there for a few days and well worth it. Hope to get back up soon for a wild camp, before the winter sets in. ATB 🙂
Incredible mate, what views! It’s interesting how high the tree line is on the mountain sides; the lack of grazing has allowed the woodland to flourish even at those heights. Nice to see the horses at the end, on our trans Pyrenees trip we would often hear them pass by during dusk and dawn.
@@Adventure-Outdoors hi mate. Yeah, not much gets that high up so the treeline is pretty high. Not sure I'd find a good, flat hammock spot though 🙂 was great to see the horses, just came out if nowhere right at the end of the hike. ATB 🙂👍
Love the Pyrenees and all of northern Spain, just rewatched all your Camino videos. I first visited these areas back in the 70s, camping holidays with my late husband 😘
Hi Norma. Yes, It's a beautiful part of the world. My videos have improved a lot since the Camino, had no idea what i was doing back then and also having to edit on my phone, on the go. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed :-)
Ah, thanks man! I live in Spain and this was my friends place i looked after and this was the end of a storm and the clouds cleared just as the moon was rising. i got lucky :-)
Martin what a great hike, the scenery is amazing and you captured it so well on camera 👍 and those drone shots are incredible, good job 👍 have a great weekend Simon & Mark
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors hey fellas. Yeah it's a superb area to hike and wild camp. If you're ever over this way I'll take you there. Thanks for watching, have a great weekend! 👍
Incredible views indeed it looked beautiful there. Nice spot by the water for lunch. Lol I remember going on a camp once and forgetting to bring my cutlery too 😅 great video
@@yasminshikingmission hi Yasmine. Yeah, We picked a great day to go. Its my favourite area in the Pyrenees, but it's all beautiful really. I'm always forgetting things when i camp, but i just blame other people. In this case, Isabel 🤣 Thanks for watching.
Hi mate. Yeah it's a stunning area, especially when you get the views like that. It's pretty close to Lake Besiberri where I've been before and hope to go again soon for a wild camp, as we didn't get the opportunity this time. Hell of a hike but worth it. Definitely a place you / we should go next time you're over. (I have a week off from Nov 9th ;-) Just sayin; ;-) ATB, thanks for watching
Hi Martin. What stunning scenery and well captured on video. It looked like a lovely spot for lunch. Don't forget to bring your fork for your next outing😅. All the best
Hi Ben. It really is. This was just mostly auto, no low light setting. The motionlapse is something id never used but wanted to test before pyrenees next week. Atb mate 🙂
@@Andrew......... Thanks Andrew. just playing around as have a Pyrenees trip next week so testing a few settings to hopefully catch some stars. Hope all is well 🌕🙂
What a beautiful walk from Vilanova to Sitges and back! The coastal walk on the way there and the woodland walk on the way back looked absolutely stunning. The cinematic look you're playing around with really enhances the experience. Thanks for sharing your adventure and the gear you use. It's always great to see what works well in the field. Looking forward to more of your explorations! Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad
Hey Martin, very nice cinematic quality to this one. Were you using the DJI camera throughout? The quality and colours are in a different world compared to the GoPro, more like what I get from my 4k DSLR! Hope all is well mate and you're getting some good weather over there. ATB 👍
Hi Mate. Cheers. Yeah all of this was the Osmo pocket 3 throughout. Farting around with it to be honest. I filmed all of this in something called d-log M which gives a broader depth of field but the footage has a washed out feel ,so you have to adjust colour in post. However, DJI have a really good LUT for free that you put over the footage and does an excellent job of bringing the natural colours through. I tweaked it here and there but not a lot. As for the the video following me as i walk, That's active track enabled which you do from the app on the phone so when you walk, it follows you. I also used a ND 32 filter on this but to be honest, didn't really need it. The more I use this camera the more i love it. As for the weather, loads of storms this year so far which is great as it means rain. Still, mid 20's and cool breezes but not for long, gonna get real hot soon. Hope you're both well :-)
@@whatsnottohike I noticed the shallow depth of field on some of the close up shots, it looks excellent, I thought you might've used your phone for those clips. The active track feature also looked really good, it's a seriously good camera, I reckon I'm going to get one at some point. Enjoy the warm weather mate, it's crap here, I was cycling up on the moors today and was bloody freezing for most of the day.
@@Adventure-Outdoors aye, it's definitely worth looking into cause it's super handy just been able to carry it and film whatever as it's super light and just not a bulky thing to be carrying. It does loads of stuff I've not tried yet but plan on doing so but the image quality is stunning really given it's size. Yeah I heard it was still a bit cold there. Summer is usually well and truly with us by now here bit it's been an odd summer so far, mostly in the mid 20s which is bearable. It's when it's mid 30s and 40 when it's nasty. Off to the Pyrenees end of the month for a few days wild camping so should be a little cooler up there. 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors I also forgot to say that even the standard colour is 10 bit so no real need to use the d-log M, I just wanted to try it and colour grade afterwards. But in all honesty, the out of the box standard colour is awesome and I'll probably just use that from now on
@@whatsnottohike the colours look ace, as you say, all of that in a portable package is what you want. I was going to film today but once i got the dslr together and the tripod it was just too bulky to carry so I didn't bother. The struggle is real with this RU-vid lark mate!
I also like Mapy, especially the maps. It is also possible to import GPX files. The drawback is that it is not possible to perform routing based on imported GPX data.
Yes it really is great. Now I know how to use it better, I will soon make a new video about it, because for a free app, it's absolutely fantastic and is very intuitive. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
I would like to import a gpx file on my ipad. The command choices do not seem to include a "Tools" choice. I have the current version. What am I missing?
Nice one Martin; your sarny looked a bit more acceptable on this hike! That church was unbelievable, must've been some challenge to build it there. Good to see you getting out again mate 👍
Hi mate. Yeah, the sarnie was delicious! The church took some getting to from where we are (the drone shots showed some paths from another direction which I'll look into as it may be easier to reach) but yeah, some effort to build it, especially in 1075! Really nice place though and definitely go out that way again and explore some more. I love all the old villages in Catalunya, so much to find! Cheers for watching mate. ATB.

Wow another awesome hike which had everything 👍 love all the rocky areas around there and the views of it all are stunning. Those pools around there would be great for a cool off in hot weather 👍 it’s a Lovely place and you are so lucky to live near those trails. Great vid Martin 👍
Cheers fellas. Yeah this is an awesome spot. In fact I hope to get out there for a wild camp soon. I'll take my travel hammock which can be used as a bivvy with a bug net and put the tarp up. I'll definitely be dipping in those pools too for to cool down. With my athletic body that'll be an eyesore for the viewers 🤣✌️
Beautiful hike that Martin, I think it had everything definitely a very interesting place to go walking, loving all the greenery and the flowers and also the buildings, great drone shots too 👍 Awesome
Cheers fellas. Turns out when I got home that quite a few shots didn't film, so had to use what I had. I was using the pocket 3 and have to keep going to ground level often to record and must have not pressed it properly. Need to invest in a tripod to make things easier as it's a great camera. But yeah, fascinating place to hike, the way the old buildings were built into the rock face was incredible. Thanks for watching ✌️
