Youthlaw works to address the legal issues facing young people through legal services, advocacy, law reform and preventative education programs, within a human rights and social justice framework.
We were established in 2001 - initiated by the community and assisted by Ashurst law firm (then Blake Dawson Waldron).
Youthlaw is based in Carlton and works closely with Frontyard Youth Services.
We have a drop in clinic at Frontyard and a number of innovative outreach services including a Skype legal service to young people in regional and rural Victoria.
Sorry but I think this is sad... Babies having babies. Most of the time they come from a broken home... they have a hole in there heart and trying to fill it.. They have no idea what there getting themselves into. I do wish this young girl and her bubba all the best and hope she doesn't keep having babies to different guy's.. A week ago I was at Parramatta station. A mother and a new bubba. She looked young a Aboriginal girl I was lovely to her doing small take but she was rude to me for what reason I don't know.. Anyway I said is this your first??? She said no it's my 6th.. What my mouth dropped. Then she hit me harder an said I have 5 different FATHER'S... well I couldn't move. Nothing came out of my mouth I just stood there then she hoped on the train.. she looked about 19. She will keep going I could tell. Just horrendously shocked.... Just very sad!!!
This is so sad.. How can there partners treat there children like this... it's not right just because there homeless they judge young people. Police have to change and be nice to specially to homeless. They need that support and help them.. there a worthwhile person just like everyone else... This police officer the guy he seems like a good officer. And thats lovely to see a good mate... sending prayers to homeless people in Australia my home town :))))
