The proposal of the videos is very cool, I am a construction estimator in Brazil, we have many similar aspects. The projects I work on here are sanitation, containment and paving, I really liked the real estate sector you work in, congratulations, good luck!
Hey Cody ! Can I get some advice from you I got my Construction Management degree and the 1st couple of years It was hard for me to land a job due to lack of experience but now I want to see if I can start looking for a construction job again how do I get back into estamating when its been so long ? Also others can pitch in for advice thanks
I’m interested in the estimating field. I have a degree in math and have been a math teacher the last several years. I’m planning to take a few courses on estimating. Do you think my experience is relevant enough to get into the field?
As a previous Field Engineer, now switching to fully remote Cost Estimator, I struggle the most with the repetitiveness of the work (2-3 bids per month) and after a while it feels like an endless cycle vs the field work where every week something was different and also the lack of input and feedback from coworkers and field personnel due to work remotely.
Everything in moderation, including moderation - Oscar Wilde. Cody, is there a website that lists all the juggling festivals in the U. S.? Thank you for t posting this video.
That is some very impressive stuff. Kudos to all your labor of love to do those. Like subject2749, I would toss them over the fence where I would have to take them away from Ferris Buellers' rottweiler.
How did you learn to do 5 club backcrosses (in doubles)? I feel like I’m on the right path but still am interested in a tutorial or any advice. A friend bet me that my first 7 catches will be in triples because he thinks it’s more logical and easier to do the trick in triples but I have almost purely focused on lofty doubles.
TLDR: The construction estimator goes through a typical day of checking emails, writing out tasks, following up with subcontractors, and preparing for an estimate review meeting, while also seeking advice from coworkers and learning from their boss. 00:00 🏗 Construction estimator starts the day with a 50-minute drive, checks emails, writes out tasks, and follows up with subcontractors for project bids. 01:38 🏗 Construction estimator starts the day by asking a coworker for their thoughts on estimating. 01:55 💼 Construction estimator goes through project plans and does takeoffs, then marks off completed tasks on a list. 02:24 🏗 Boss helped me understand what to do in certain situations, now I need to fix it and get ready for lunch. 02:54 💼 Construction estimator prepares for an estimate review meeting and ensures all tabs and scopes are accounted for, while also sharing a quick tip for impressing in the construction industry.
Nice format! Thanks to slowmotion I could easily see how many rotations each club did :) that helped. I am glad people like you continue putting on tutorials for advanced tricks too! Knowing whats possible and getting some inspiration is a part of getting familiar with the 5c. Thanks a lot! I'm also wondering about 744 and maybe some easy multiplex things not being shown. But maybe I underestimate them or comparing the clubs journey too much with my juggling balls journey. Peace
I'm estimating for a concrete subcontractor in Californi for 4 months now, I love what I'm doing, I been in the feel for 20 yrs from concrete labor to freman, and now this 😁, hopefully you will thorough me a tips to win more jobs or how you guys like the proposal anything will help, we doing a lot from building connected.
great video very fun watching! but could you make a video that shows us newbies how to actually bid? im just getting started in this business and would really appreciate any information on estimating and how to better formulate spreadsheets
You talked to Androli or Gatto in Austin? With Gatto would be like having chatted it up with Howard Hughes. Surprising Spencer only practices twice a week, but I guess the long hours make up for it. I try to practice 30 minutes daily but think it may be better to step away a day or two sometimes to have a fresher approach.
I’m graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration. I want to become a budget and/or financial analyst, but where I live, there’s just not enough jobs. Construction is huge around here though, so I just got the idea of joining the construction business as an estimator. My goal is to get in as an estimator intern somewhere, and if needed, will go for a construction management certification offered at a nearby school.
@@CodyCockroft what's that process like? Is it the estimator with the final decision on what subs work, what else do you look at other than price? I'm a flooring contractor trying to get into commercial. I've been doing a few bids on there but haven't hit any yet. Chicagoland area, any info helps thanks!
