I have a few different channels but this one is for talking NBA basketball in general. Suns Fan (try not to hold it against me) and Kai Sotto propagandist.
Jaden's offense is nice, but it's far more affected by confidence and frustration than his defense. For a while late in the season, the Wolves frequently ran the first couple plays of the game through Jaden to get him a bucket or two early to get him going. That was super effective and even elevated his defense just that much more. What I really liked in game 2 was seeing him power through some setbacks in the first half (silly fouls, a turnover, etc.) to get back to cooking. Continued maturity is going to bring more consistency to the offensive side of the ball as his confidence is hopefully less affected by in-game setbacks. Nothing seems to shake his confidence on D, so I am excited to see the same mentality on the other side of the ball.
1) Wolves internal data said get Gobert to benefit KAT on both ends. 2) Jazz said Gobert was available only if Jaden McDaniels was in the deal. 3) Wolves threw in more first round picks to keep McDaniels out of the deal. 4) National Media crucified Wolves for deal. 5) See Wolves now.
Naz ''Naz Reid'' Reid, Jmac, Go-bear and NAW have all been the biggest reason to our success this season! I don't take anything away from ANT, KAT or Mike but it's all about the little things.
McDaniels was a scorer in college. That's what you all are forgetting. After his and Ant first season they both came back their second season and Mc had that corner three going for him. Ant will drive and kick it out to Mc for the 3. He really got mad at himself after breaking his hand last season. He came back this year focus on getting better.
I mean bro got good ass defense but whenever the offense is limited to only pull-ups it’s never goin to be consistent vs anyone in a playoffs series imo they should bring bol bol in the game so it can get Rudy from camping in the paint all game long so they scorers can have more options which makes the defense harder
Wolves have always believed in Jaden and known what he was capable of. That’s why they gave up the extra first round picks for Rudy when the Jazz first preference was fewer picks + Jaden. Casuals like to ignore that part.
The Wolves are just exposing why the Suns ended up being a 6th seed. Frank Vogel has zero clue how to coach offense, so good luck with adjustments for that. This is crazy that they locked up KAT and Ant and STILL lost because Frank refuses to put equal focus on offense. Dont know why we expected the playoffs to go any different when the season was such a rollercoaster.
Suns didn't lock up KAT. KAT took himself out of the game with his fouling. The Suns did make life difficult for Ant, and since his shot was off all night he mostly moved the ball and distributed to guys like Mike and Jaden.
@@mrfunnylookinhayes9088 Under normal circumstances I would, but Frank literally does not coach offense, so no. Meaning that if the Wolves have a defensive adjustment, Frank will not make any offensive ones. The Suns offense has been that way all season if you've been watching them. Frank solely focuses on defense and expects the big 3 to make magic happen on offense and it obviously has not worked well.
Smoothsavage Are you saying that Vogel's offense was fine during the three regular season games against the Wolves, but suddenly he can't coach offense or adjust during the playoff? He does adjust, and thats when the Suns are keeping the game close, and even have a lead. But, Minnesota keeps shutting down whatever adjustments the Suns try. That's what a defensive minded coach and team will do. They make their opponents look stupid.
@@Roger-zx4ji There's only one game of the 3 where more than one of the big 3 had a great game. The coach that was there for offense left to coach college basketball just a week ago. He wasnt the head coach, so he had no control really, but you did see better offense while he was there. You give someone like Mike D'Antoni this team and see what the offense looks like then. I guarantee you that we wont see the big 3 having multiple nights where they take turns scoring less than 20 every other night. Frank has ALWAYS been terrible on offense btw. Go look at his most successful seasons as a coach. For most of them, his defense was top 5 while his offense was bottom 10. This is the first season where Frank's had a team literally at 10th in offense and it wasnt at all because of him.
The Kings might’ve had some injuries. But their top 3 players are still healthy. And they are one of the deepest teams in the league. Not surprising they beat the Warriors. They should’ve beat us. Beal saved the day.
Vonsanity ok. I like the good things that you are saying about Bol Bol. I’m a supporter of Bol Bol. I think that you made a statement that Wembanyama is so far ahead of Bol Bol in terms of skill level, but you offered no proof stat for stat and the fact that Wembanyama has changed and progressed more from the beginning of the season until now is not surprising, it should have been expected from professional coaches and players to learn from each other and grow from their experiences. I think he struggled in situations, I think that the team wasn’t passing him the ball until the public perception of the issue became an issue, I think actual consecutive games played and ego stroking and hiding some of his weaknesses like the inability to back pedal and switch or change directions when guarding a smaller player and becoming to comfortable with thinking that his long wingspan will be the answer but not realizing that shorter players are also learning his weakness as well, this will get him in foul trouble as he is eager to block shots. Speaking of switching, I am going to switch to your assessment of Shaquille O’Neal and his likely reason for hyping Bol Bol in order to devalue Wembanyama so that Wembanyama doesn’t take the Greatest Big Man title from Shaquille O’Neal. That’s purely an opinion and you are certainly entitled to your opinion as we will never know anyone’s personal agendas unless they reveal themselves to us. Wembanyama and Shaquille O’Neal had to different styles of playing and in my experience one style not better than the other but based on the opponent one style may have a greater probability of winning the game. Let’s give Wembanyama some time, 5 years at least before we have him surpassing Kareem, Wilt, Bill Russell and Shaq. If he is ahead of Bol Bol then then it’s because of his team’s group effort that put him in position to be better and gave him the confidence that he needed in his first season. If Shaquille puts Bol Bol over Wembanyama in fear of Wembanyama taking the Crown 👑 from Shaquille then Shaquille would also have to fear Bol Bol for the same reason (not rational). 🫤🤔✌️🫡
Dallas has that 6th spot locked up. And going for 4th or 5th. Playin is basically guaranteed. Just wondering if Phoenix will be 7th, 8th, or 9th in the playin.
wemby is getting "the chosen one" protection........so sick of the narrative driven nba now......bol been doing this for weeks, not just this game......efficiency is up, turnovers are down and vogel doesnt ride the hot hand, so his minutes are still low, even when he dominates
You sound nuts everytime he gets minute's he produce and he does something that make you say he's different. He's not marketable as webby and if they play him the league will have no choice to make him one of the faces
Obviously you have not seen much of Bol pre-Suns. What you've seen recently is what Bol's done whenever and wherever he got minutes. That was the case in college; in Orlando; etc. Nothing new about his play at all.
some of these statements are garbage...1. Shaq is not threatened by Wembanyama. Bol is being short-changed 2. Dwight Howard is a Hall of Famer and is needed by any team to deal with Jokic
