Yeah, no telling if it was drugs, psychological break, or a mean wife. I hate those experiences. Part of living in a fallen world I guess. Good to see you man.
Enjoyed your videos in the past and looking forward to seeing more to come. Sadly there are too many angry people in this world. Why all this anger, I at 78 years old can't reason why. I do know my history and I fear we are making the same mistakes of the past; Truly I hope that I am wrong. Ron
Moral of the story: Always carry some matches and a corn cob pipe loaded with a good codger blend to offer someone who needs to calm down. BTW, the two-digit number of the cigar--the ring gauge--is the diameter expressed in 64th's of an inch. Your cigar, a 50 ring gauge, is 50/64th's of an inch, or .78". That's a beefy one, for sure. Thanks for sharing your story--pleased that it had a more peaceful resolution.
Another excellent video. Taylor's story is reminiscent of the book of Job, the book in the Bible that I've read far more than the others. I agree with you: every single one of us carries burdens that we hide from others and it's helpful for us to remember that fact as we interact with those we don't know. Like our own behavior, theirs is a product of the heartaches and fears that they carry with them. Not one of us is immune. An anagram of Hudson Taylor is "Adorn my soul." Seems so fitting.
He's on his pipe channel talking about the guy that gave him a dirty look in traffic...LOL...I'm kidding. Very happy it didn't escalate more. Peaceful days to you...Robusto is perhaps the cigar size...
Welcome back, David! Top-notch video and a handsome rusticated Peterson. I've been to Gatlinburg, but that was many years ago and without any awareness of the Gatlin Burlier. Perhaps someday......
Always good to see you my friend, no matter how long or short it's been. Pretty cool that you and your wife have something to work on together. Hope it goes well for you.
I dust one a week or so and have no cobwebs, ants, or silverfish. I do have Coppleston's volumes on philosophy and Schaeffer's complete works. Both are great reads. As for being rich, I'm not. I worked in publishing for many years through which I received more than half of the books for free and the others were purchased used or over a several year period of time.
The hidden Truth About Merlin, King Arthur & Excalibur is infinitely more mysterious than the story we have been led to believe in. I will post a link to this information. You won't be disappointed! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3lPnnZrb-84.html
If I can make a suggestion!! Pack your pipe much tighter! The how to pack a pipe videos are bad and made by beginners. You should feel resistance when you puff. I hope it will helps ! Silviu👍
So glad to see you again! That is a very beautiful Peterson pipe. Can't wait to watch your coming videos. Wishing you and your family a happy Advent, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
It is so good to have you back! I relate so much to your enjoyment of the RPG and TTRPG hobbies, I'd love to see more videos of you deep diving into the world's you create, and your favorite games! Also, I can't wait for a tour of the study once you finish up your wardrobe portal into your library!
It's a new type of woodworking project I've never attempted, so much is by trial and error. That said, paint and caulk will cover a multitude of miskates.
hello again! I've been working on a novel desultorily for the last two years. It's set in the early 1890s and is about a journey of discovery to find the Pillars of Enoch. I am delighted to hear of your appreciation of Steam Punk and Dark Academia. It's like finding a friend in a labyrinth. May the rest of your Advent be blessed and your Christmas positively brilliant.
I would love to read the novel your writing. Adventure, exploration, and Enoch sounds facinating. I'm reading through the Book of Enoch now and enjoying it. Look forward to the next time I can get to Gatlinburg. Will definitely drop in and say hi. Also, I had me to look up the word desultory. Great word and will use it in my writing. Happy Advent.
Welcome back! It’s great to see someone make videos, take a break, then come back. It motivates me to make my first video after many years of simply being a viewer. I also enjoy hearing how you structure aspects of your life, something that I could incorporate as well. Cheers! -Alex
Thanks for the welcome back. Taking a break from something can make you miss it. Look forward to seeing your first video. From the name of your channel am I right in assuming you flyfish? I bought a rod from Orvis a couple years ago but have only had the change to go once. Loved it. Need to work on my casting though.
@@mythicalhistory Indeed, my other hobby is fly fishing. I too live in Michigan, a great state for fly fishing! Casting comes with time on the water, and we often make it more difficult than it is. A bad cast can catch fish too, so it’s said “there’s no bad casts”. I find there’s nothing like a pipe stream side, though I don’t have a study as you do- which would certainly rival such a location. Happy Holidays- Alex
Good morning, David...excellent to see you again! Regarding the name you were trying to recall, might that be Boswell? Their pipes tend to be fairly beefy. Merry Christmas to you!
That's it. For some reason I just couldn't remember the name. I love their sea rock style pipes. Again, I might be missing on the name. Looks like they would be very comfortable to hold in the hand while smoking. Merry Christmas.
Was starting to wonder if you were done making videos. I believe the pipe you were thinking of is a Calabash. Sounds like you have been busy. Ya, I hear you ..... the wife and I have a 4000 book library and just know we will never have the time to read them all.
Someone reminded me that the name of the pipe was Boswell, but a Calabash is also a large pipe I would like to own. That was the pipe Sherlock Holmes smoked, correct? I was told years ago that a person should always have more books in their library than they have read to remind them there's always more to read and learn. Sounds like we both are in good shape there. Blessings.
