(i don't know if you remember me i'm that one person who occasionally makes way too long comments on your videos) yeaahh i don't know why it's always so long in between me finding your videos.. anyway! really cool video so far i just reached the boss scene so i haven't seen it yet and well the video's really great! i feel like your editing has improved (i don't remember your older videos having as many little snippets of comments to the side? ) also! really glad as always that you explain what you do- i would not know what is going on without it. also it just really amused me when you greeted the rat speaking of rats,,, this game so far? really cool. love the atmosphere and mechanics. the music is tense but also grandiose in a way that makes you feel like you're in a church (which works with the cult theme). and also how the father seems to be a bishop?? and it appears to be in some kind of catacomb?? i could be wrong though the lighting is nice- normally i have to turn my brightness up quite a bit for some horror games but this obstructs view a little without just... turning my screen black gonna watch the boss fight now brb i love how the followers got stuck on the rock. get pathlost, idiots. wasn't expecting you to go up the snake- wasn't expecting the snake to have collision at all, actually! really cool. "they're really persistent" well that's how you know they're really good at being cultists! love the game and the video. hopefully i don't end up chased by cultists the next time i walk past a church...

I think torment therapy was so hard because the nurses were faster than the player, and they won't stop chasing him until he collects all three hundred shards , that's about zone 1 if you get seen , but what made bearly buried even harder than it ?
Right now there's also the Epic Games Store, and also PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It's only available as a demo on consoles currently though.
40:37 I like to imagine that the Murder Monkey that manages the front desk when you’re escaping the level is the one who put the cutout back up. He only screeches at you because now he has to fix the cutout again
Hey shark could you give me tips on beating dark deception with default powers cause i suffer from a condition called skill issue (need help on elementary evil and so on)
There's a bunch of tips I can provide, but it's really long. I'd suggest watching guides other people have made because they'll convey the information in a nicer format. But, here's what I have to say anyway: EE: Just listen carefully to where Agatha is and save Speed Boost until you need to escape from her, and when she teleports in zone 2, look backwards so she teleports behind you instead of in front of you. Then for the boss, don't use Speed Boost immediately when Agatha begins running at you, and instead save it for the last moment. The fake portals are bugged and they can kill you randomly. It's a bit hard to explain, so just keep trying until it doesn't happen. DD: Try and group up the Gold Watchers together to make them easier to manage. Use Teleport to get past them if they're blocking the way. Speed Boost is helpful, but be careful you don't run into traps or watchers hiding behind corners. SS: Open all the doors you find, and use Telepathy to see which ducks are real. Don't get yourself cornered, and if you think you're going to be stunned, pre-mash "F". The boss can be quite hard, so I would suggest playing in Easy mode if you're struggling. CC: Primal Fear the clown cars to stop them from spawning clowns, but do so before they got too close, otherwise they'll still spawn clowns anyway. Use Speed Boost and Teleport to get around each zone faster. For Zone 2, it's better to stay away from the clowns. Even if you see 1 of them, it's likely there will be much more nearby. However, if your powers are all charged, then you can afford to take more risks. For the boss, don't destroy the gremlins, and instead just avoid them using Speed Boost and Teleport. Only kill them if you need to. Use the size of the arena to your advantage. TT: Use Telepathy to see the nurses and stun them using Primal Fear. Make sure you're constantly on the move and not staying around the same areas for too long. Leaving behind shards is okay because you can get them back easily using Telekinesis later. For Zone 2, Telekinesis really helps because you can collect shards on the top and bottom floor at the same time. It also helps to collect shards near all the dangerous sawblade traps. For the boss, try to keep ahead of the Matron, but not too far otherwise you may run into situations where no ambulances spawn and you get stuck. Remember to use the scroll wheel to adjust Teleport distance if the marker isn't showing, and stand on the edge of the ambulances so the Reaper Nurses can't kill you. MM: For Zone 1, Penny will occasionally teleport in the air in front of you, so watch out for that. An effective strategy is when you hear the roaming track and your powers are charged, activate a camera on purpose and then use Primal Fear. It will stun all the enemies at once and give you time to collect shards. You can use Vanish once the stun from Primal Fear runs out to keep yourself safe until it recharges again. For Zone 2, make sure to Primal Fear the Hangry that teleports and breaks down walls, because once he's stunned, he can't kill you. For the boss, remember that Primal Fear still works, and it will buy you some time to crank the levers and survive during the lockdown sequence. Joy Kill can only jump to certain locations, so keep an eye on him and listen out for him jumping. You may need to react quickly. BB: For Zone 1, just repeat the strategy I did in my no powers or map video. It's difficult but it should work eventually. And once you get Vanish, it becomes much easier. For Zone 2, get Telekinesis right away by going towards Mama Bear, then use Vanish, and then use Primal Fear to destroy the teddy holding the ring piece. Make sure you aren't too close to other teddies when using Primal Fear. For the mid-boss, stay in the blind-spot like I did in my video until you need to pick up a rock and throw it at Mama Bear. Use Primal Fear to take care of the Trigger Teddies, but if it's recharging, use Vanish instead to buy yourself some time. For Zone 3, there are 3 teddies holding ring pieces. The last one you destroy will always hold the true ring piece. You need to make sure the last one you destroy is destroyed on its own, because if not, you will cause a softlock and the ring piece won't spawn. The indicator on the map can sometimes help lead you to where the teddies holding the ring pieces are, but it doesn't always work. The boss is easy and I'm not sure what tips to provide besides using Speed Boost, Primal Fear, and Vanish properly. For the first part of the escape sequence when you're in the cave, use Primal Fear and Vanish to deal with the teddies blocking the way. I hope that helps. 🙂
@@dust_error0101 Oh, right, then that changes a few things, although most tips I provided mostly remain the same. I guess instead of swapping to easy mode for the SS boss sequence, you could exploit a bug with the valve where you double-click it and hold down for the 2nd click. That allows you to move around while spinning the valve, which is really useful. Either that or you just practice it and beat it legitimately. And when going for S-Ranks, if you die and then get a shard streak of 50, the streak you had previously gets overwritten, so watch out for that. All Ch4 levels have a shard streak requirement of 200, whereas all other levels are 250. The amount of times you can die in each level and still get S-Rank is as follows: MB: 0 EE, DD, SS: 1 CC, TT: 2 MM, BB: 3
@@sharkfan2 I see. Well... Just in case you didn't know. Vince said they will add in some cutscene for Lucky and Penny (Before Stage 1) and Joykill (After you kill it). I'm not sure when we will get them. I'm assuming together with Chapter 5. Are you gonna revisit the S-rank challenge? After they added the cutscenes?
@@clashroyaleboy3506 Yeah, I'm aware about this. I'm very interested in what the new cutscenes are going to be like. I'm not sure if I'll revist the S-Rank challenges just for cutscene changes though. If there are more significant changes, like changes to the gameplay, then I'll be more inclined to give it another go.
Ok, so no one is going to talk about how you are able to complete zone 2 without dealing with the animatronics this whole time?! Thanks for teaching me that. I hate having to worry about Hangry eating my ribs!
1. Nope, and I don't intend on counting all the icicles. I could ask the creator of the game for you if you're interested. 2. Nothing happened to Telekinesis. I just decided not to use it for this video to increase the difficulty of the challenge.
i find it odd how when doing a nightmare run there was supposed to be a distorted effect, yet everything looked normal. When I started fiddling with the settings it activated and I can see such a major difference that makes P ranking a lot harder
I noticed this too, specifically with the texture settings. When they were on low, the distortion filter did not apply. I wasn't aware at the time of recording, but I found it out while editing. I'm not complaining because I actually don't like the filter.
It should be space bar to toggle the tablet. If that's not working and your space bar works outside of the game, then I'm not completely sure what the problem is. It could be related to why your P button isn't working for the boss teleportation bug as you mentioned in another comment. I'm thinking it could be because you're using a non-English keyboard since I've heard about a similar problem before, but I don't know if this is true or not.
Why super dark deception?! Why not dark deception 2D edition? What is super in this that this game is only less scary and morę buggy than the original one?
I'm pretty sure the "super" in the game's name is a reference to the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) and various retro Nintendo games as that's what this game's style is based on. You could bascially call it Dark Deception 2D edition if you wanted. And I actually don't think there are as many bugs in this game compared to normal Dark Deception, but I don't know the full extent of the bugs for SDD.
@@sharkfan2 idk if this got patched but when you start monkey bussines and go to elevator you can just run to monkey and go to the elevator with IT then monkey dissappears and you are just faster on the main level
@@katarzynakotkiewicz7057 Oh, I think I've seen that before. I'm not sure if it was patched either, but I haven't seen anyone do it since Chapter 1 released.
3:32 i think it would've be easier to go through of lucky's clones to teleport there.. so you would've collect 181 shards again and restart from continued checkpoint
@@sharkfan2 wait what? But i watched the video about from terrible tony youtuber that he teleports to lucky's clones to go zone 1 again but it didnt work for you? Im guessing thats probably about patch update with bug if you can ask me if im right..

I predict this game will get one last update or two after Chapter 5 of the official Dark Deception has been released, such as getting back the music that was once in it (along with new music being added), the level perhaps being modelled more after the official one, and so on. If so, you may just be playing this again. X) Btw, I think at this point the Manneking should be called the Mannequeen, considering it looks feminine. Plus, it's like an extension of "mannequin."
