This record was in a juke box that we got in our Student Lounge when I was in mid school. We would rush in after lunch to be the first to put our quarter in the juke box to hear it everyday. 😊
I AM A CHILD OF THE FIFTIES. MY DAD SAID, WHEN HE MET MY MOM, SHE WAS THE PRETTIEST THING THAT HE EVER SAW. SHE WAS ONLY 16YRS. OF AGE BUT DOLLED HERSELF UP. THE SOILDERS' WHO CAME HOME FROM WAR BACK THEN IN WASHINGTON DC. WOULD MEET LADIES AT SOME TYPE DANCE HALL, FROM WHAT I REMEMBERED, THAT IS WHERE MY DAD MET MOM. HE WAS HOME FROM BEING IN THE WAR. MY DAD AND MY MOM, I BELEIVE FELL IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. SHE FOLLOWED HIM HOME. AND GRANDMA SAID, WHO IS THIS LADY ETC. SLEEPING ON THE COUCH THE REST IS HISTORY. THE TWO OF THEM GOT MARRIED. THE REST IS HISTORY. THEY LOOKED SO GOOD TOGETHER AND THEY HAD SEVEN OF US. I CAN'T HELP BUT LOVE THE SONGS OF THE 50'S THAT IS WHAT MY DAD SANG AND YES, HE COULD SING. God...please don't take this man from us just yet, he's one of the last true country singers and legends we have left. I have so many memories with my dad at 12 yrs old, he always listen to Ronnie.
MOSES’ SANDALS!! This is awesome!! That riff on a Wurlitzer model 200 electric piano is beyond awesome!! I have a 1966 model 140-B with a model 903-B amp cabinet, which has the same works as the 200, and this riff would sound AWESOME on it!! Just fantastic!! 😋😋😋🤘🤘🤘👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👌👌👌 😊
Worked a window plant in Marion OH. I was there for years. Had the honor of working with some nam veterans. I never really know who Jim Croce was before I mean I had heard a songs but I never had a name to put to them wherever you are Donnie I hope things did good for you.
My husband and I listened to a 8 track of Ronnie Millsap the first night we went out and to this day we Love his music and we have a 45 rpm jukebox and we have his records on it.
This song is dedicated to my childhood sweertheart, Sandra. We became separated by the Marine Corps and Viet Nam, not to be reunited for years and years. When we did, the feelings returned but, sadly, she died of liver cancer. Here is to you Sandra, I remember you and love who we were together.................... please rest in peace. I love you.
Fascinating on that opener. ALL that Vegas glitter and lights from 43 years ago is torn down. Anyone going to Vegas after that kind of absence won't recognize the place.
