Loved what you did here! Could you do Maul vs Ahsoka? It's sad to see only a few dual saber fighting and when it happens, it's ashort fight in comparison to the other ones.
The most insane stunt, in my opinion, was when he literally slid/ran down the side of a glass building in "Who Am I?". No wires, no safety nets, no body double. Just him and his two giant brass balls.😲
this is devotion to what you love. i know this sounds corny, but what i am watching here is what disney star wars executives will never understand. the total sacrifice of time, energy and resources to make something great that others fans can enjoy
I mean it looks great but also like there a couple times where you’re clearly aiming for the light saber and not for the person feel like it’s probably hard to choreograph a fight where ur actually aiming at the person and not just the weapon 🤷♂️
I’ve never seen a good light saber dual. A good sword fight/light saber fight should look like they’re trying to hit each other’s bodies and their attacks are being blocked, but it never does. It always looks like they’re intentionally swinging at each other’s blades and twirling around unnecessarily. Same with this one.
Well done! I think the only shot I liked from the original better is Obi doing the behind the back block and then front block. The zoom in was good, but a little disjointing and I think being pulled back is a bit better. I have 0 background in cinematography though, so this is just some random youtubers personal preference. that's an impressive fight to get down AND record in 12 hours though. Heroic level of work from the whole crew!
Besides being an amazing sword fight, I really loved they took Jedi/Sith super human powers to the next level in those prequel movies. Not just force push and moving stuff with the mind, but physical abilities beyond human. Not sure why they dropped the ball with the newer Star Wars, but just imagine what Stars Wars could of been if they took it all to what we know is doable now on the big screen. The new Star Wars movies should of been Avengers End Game level of film making when it came to making our heroes look like heroes. Anyway, great job recreating that fight! 👍🏼
He is a King. But in China he is a Folk Singer.. Just a little fews knew his film career :D You three should make a reaction to his Stunt Outtakes. They are pretty fascinating.
You guys should partner up with a few other VFX and saber fight channels and make a decent "Adventures of Luke Skywalker" film we all waited decades to see
No you didnt. The static camera in the original is what makes the whole choreography make sense. I can get the moves not being 100%, but the camera work choices were absolutely worse.
Pretty impressive for only a day. But my main gripe is that the lightsabres are too flashy/bright, they create an oversaturated blur that makes it hard to see what's happening. Also you get a lot of screen flare from the collisions which looks terrible.
This isn’t BETTER. It misses the point of the original which is keeping the frame wide to allow the fight choreography to shine. Zak Snyder style show-off slo-mo is both cliche and wildly unnecessary. You can throw all the Dutch angles and quick cuts you want at a scene, but invariably it lessens the impact.
We now need to go to the fans for the entertainment we SHOULD get from Disney. Well done all around. The fact you did it in 12 hours puts the house of mouse to shame.
Brilliant job! I love the discipline you all displayed in hitting your time goal and high standard of quality for this production! Truly inspirational! Incredible what can be done when you push yourself!
I would love to see you redo a fight from the sequel. Kinda trying to redo the bad choreography while still keeping the fights similar to what they are
Jackie Chan's probably had more concussions than half the NFL put together. It's really amazing that he's capable of getting hurt so badly and so often, but never got injured in a way that limited what he could accomplish. His willpower, to be able to fight through that level of pain, finish the scene, and always come back for more is unreal.
