Ah, really sorry to hear it but totally understand the decision. Thanks for all the amazing memories and looking to forward to seeing the next chapter for both yourself and HF!! All the best for the future!!
Omar, are you kidding me? You were absolutely an integral and inextricable part of HF winning worlds. That one competition cannot be separated from the years of work that went into building the team that took worlds. AND on top of that, you flew out to support us and helped fill in any gaps we needed to have the best chances possible. So much love and gratitude to you for everything you put into this team and I cherish the time I got to battle shoulder to shoulder with you, brother. Also, damn dude, you have some serious skills with video editing. Well done, man! That was by far the best athlete showreel I've seen come out of the sport ❤
You could have just walked away without a word but instead you chose to take a moment to talk about what the sport/team have meant to you & your reasons for leaving, which are sound btw. Speaks volumes of the kind of person you are & the video itself is rather moving. An amazing tribute to your WCT career & based on this video (and the incredible reel at the end) it’s been one hell of a chapter. As someone who mainly follows your career outside of the sport I’m excited to see what the future holds for you Omar.
Thank you so much for this great comment Dan! It's been a wonderful chapter in my life. Sad to close it and move on but like I spoke, it really does feel like the right time and the right move 🙌🏻
Thank you for all the amazing matches and the amount of entertainment you've brought us all! I hope you find as much joy in your future endevours as you have in WCT and I wish you good fortune in the wars to come
Seeing you and my cousin on Ultimate Tag was awesome, but I had no idea there was a whole sport beyond the show. Quitting is sometimes the hardest thing to, especially when seeing the success coming without your contribution. The emotional strength you're showing in this video is admirable and inspiring.
Thank you so much for the wonderful support! it really does mean a lot to me. It's been an amazing chapter in my life and I look back on the memories fondly
Sad to see you go brother. I'm super thankful for you passionately investing your time energy and body into wct for 4 years for 5 straight tournaments. You're one of the workhorses of the sport. It was super sick I got to meet you in London two years ago in WCT 5 world champs aswell. Furthermore, I appreciate you making a meaningful goodbye video to the fans. Alot of athletes of dropped out of WCT these past two years abruptly so its really nice for you to pay your respects and bow to the crowd before going out ygm? Highlight reel was class ♥️. I wish you the best of luck and new heights to your stuntman career bro. X
Thank YOU for the incredible comment! That truly means so much and I'm glad that you cared enough to listen to my farewell speech. It really was an amazing chapter in my life that I will look back on fondly. It had a huge impact on me so I wanted to take this opportunity to say my goodbyes and make my mark on the sport with this final showreel of myself. Can't wait to see the continued growth of the sport!
All I Feel while watching this video is your incredible honesty. I feel it is what you bring to this whole Athlete game. Whatever you do it seems there is a level of honor and integrity that keeps activating inside you. First with your getting injured and now your departure from this sport. My question to you is this, what do all of your generalizations have in common. That I feel is where you will find what to specialize in 😄
I appreciate you and am glad that my voice connects with you! And that's a very great thing to pay attention to! I am excited to continue to find the best and more exciting way to combine everything that I do!
Oh man, I was also here in Evry for all 3 days to support my team! This competition was amazing! Hollywood Freerunners totally deserved the title! I'm a bit sad I didn't recognize you in the crowd and didn't get a chance to talk to you. Ten years ago, you gave me the passion for parkour and it changed my life. I would have loved to thank you in person for that! Maybe next year, who knows ?
Woah thanks so much for that awesome comment! It was an unbelievable competition to attend. Truly electric! And I’m honored I could be a part of your journey and do for you what others have done for me 🙏🏻🙌🏻
Makes sense, Omar. You listened to your inner voice and made a rational decision. They say all good things come to an end. You know if you're walking at the right time. You hit the highest levels. Now on to pursue your specialized ambitions. Much future success. I'll be watching and cheering. Thanks for communicating your thoughts. 😊❤
I’m no athlete whatsoever, but I totally relate to what you’re saying. As a software developer, I’ve stuck with the same somewhat narrow technology: image processing. Others choose to hop around to all different aspects, learn new techniques and technologies, etc. I haven’t done that in a long time and perhaps I’ve missed out on something new. However, I am absolutely exceptional at what I have focused on for so many years. Specializing can be a great thing!
That is so incredible to hear! I really appreciate you sharing that Tom and a massive thank you for your support! Onwards and upwards towards specialization!
Great video Omar! Really interesting thinking about the differences between a generalist and a specialist. I feel like I can relate to being a generalist as well, but right now I don’t have a specific thing I want to be a specialist in. I kind of just go through phases of specializing in certain things and cycling through those interests. Thanks for sharing your perspective and emotions about watching the team take first and having to step back from the team. Wishing you the best for your stunt career and future endeavors!
Thanks so much Josh! And that makes sense cause clearly we’re very similar. It’s an interesting thing to narrow focus and to say no to other things to focus on something bigger and greater. But I’m so glad the video resonated with you brother 👊🏻
I support your decision. Everyone will have to choose one day when the time comes, I hope you continue what you like so much. An option in my opinion, you can teach people how to do parkour or do more reactions that relate to parkour👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
First, I would love to say, CONGRAULATIONS on all the success thus far my friend. You have done so much thus far and its been a blast to watch you go through it. BUT, there is still so much more to do and I cannot wait to see whats next. There is still so much room for us to grow and evolve. Yus, we may miss opportunities or chances to be a part of things, but its all going to be for the next step in our own lives. This is a lesson I am learning but the goal is always to be better than yesterday. How we do that, becomes part of the journey. So excited for whats next.
Thank you for the awesome comment man! I hope you're doing well! And yes, the journey may not always be the straight line we envisioned but that's part of the challenge! Thanks for the support!
I've never been as poor financially than I was during the time when I was a World Chase Tag athlete. Ever since I've quit, I have and gotten a normal job, I could afford a better living place, a car, I could afford to eat better. Injuries weren't a problem for me but dedicating full time to WCT left me in debt. Now, I'm debt free and enjoying life.
I'm glad to hear you're in a better position now man! WCT is still in the early phases but hopefully as it continues to grow, the economics of the sport will grow with it! And it'll only be possible because of all the dedication of the athletes that came before
@@OmarZaki well in that case Please Recreate The Movies the matrix Reload where It was to Iconic fights Neo Vs Shifu Morpheus, Neo Vs Seraph & Neo Vs Agent Smith, in Sci-Fighter Jack Tanka vs Double threat. And I also wanna see you vs Noah Fort
Omar, I didn't know you until Ky introduced you but all your experience and skills helped build Hollywood Freerunners to what they are today. Your support and presence has to mean a lot to the current team. Good luck with specializing in whatever you choose. I hope you heal quickly from your injury as well!
Sad to see this. I've enjoyed watching you on HF these last few years and it felt like you were playing some of your best tag over the last year you played. I wish you had been able to compete in the worlds with how you were playing before an to see you be a part of the success you helped build. I am happy that you are choosing to step away from the sport you helped grow with a good attitude. I hope I will get to continue to enjoy seeing you perform in other ways in the years to come.
Wow thank you so much for the kind words. It was an amazing honor to be on this amazing team. Hollywood Freerunner for life! Will definitely continue to be performing in many ways :)
I'm really saddened to hear that because I could see you were thriving in it. But if you don't feel the need anymore, you're free to take off and try something else. I'd also noticed that there were a couple of things that needed changing: They should put like paint or something on their hands so they can see They should wear like compression clothes Ave have some sort of paint or chalk on their hands. That would make it more clear if it was a tag
Thank you for the support! I always appreciate it! I am sure the sport will continue to improve and evolve over the years because it has been doing that year after year 🙌🏻
Wow what an amazing compliment! I'm honored and so thankful. They're gonna be just fine and I couldn't be more proud to have been a member of this team :)
