Hi :) Great video! Cna the DJI Mic 2 receiver receives power via the MI shoe on compatible cameras from Sony? Or do you still have to charge the receiver in the DJI charging box? :)
That is a great question! I have not tested it so I am not 100% sure, but other MMI mics don't have their own power so it draws power from the camera. I assume this works the same way with the DJI Mic 2 Receiver. So when the Receiver has no power, it might charge. I'll do a test soon!
@@elJong Thank you :) I know that Sony ECM w3 feeds the receiver with power when its plugged in the MI shoe. I need to by DJI Mic 2 or Sony ECM. But for me the batterylife is important. And how the signal is with my back to the camera on distance up to about 10 meters from the camera :)
@@elJong yea I saw, the lowest I saw them for was $382 the red ones, I could have technically gone to a target, price match it and use my red card for 5% extra off, that would had been an intense steel but oh well. I’m still pretty happy with mine, all together came out to $433 tax included, space gray, I’m pretty satisfied.
If you are looking for the best quality video, DJI will win out, but if you're on a budget or you want to do more creative car/roller shots, the Feiyu Tech because the camera can detach and a lot smaller (and magnetic), you might be able to put the camera in more unique places!
Stop using the terms FOG and SMOKE interchangeably as they are not the same and show a complete lack of effect and substance knowledge. Smoke rises and diffuses quickly while fog falls and spreads acting much more like water. The look is quite different too and confusing the terms is like saying right when you mean left. Learn what you are talking about so you can be taken seriously.
Thank you for your pointing out my effect and substance knowledge. I was just following descriptions listed in the product. Though this machine can both technically make smoke and fog depending the attached accessory. I'm glad that you are spending so much time and effort, providing poignant comments to measly plebeians like myself. I did not know trolls punch down like this, but happy to have surfaced one!
Vertical vlogging cam? ok but us bike/scooter riders who want to mount this thing horizontally on some handle bar this heavy setup will break even the strongest mount out there & this is what nobody on the internet is talking about.
@@elJong No, I don't mean the mount itself, I mean, mounting the X4 horizontally still using the selfie stick screwed onto bike handlebar mount so that the selfie stick is parallel to the ground. No selfie stick on earth can withstand the weight of the setup you got going on without breaking after a few trials. Anyways, does this DJI record internally simultaneously when recording via the receiver? or you could only choose to record either via the receiver or internally?
@@Sir-Kay The DJI Mic 2 has internal recording on the transceivers, yes. So you can pull audio-only from the DJI mic in case the audio in your X4 video is janky.
@@elJong But, then one has to remember to press the record button each time you want to begin & end a recording. That's work! The bluetooth connection would have been a setup & forget until one turns off the X4 but, the audio is also crappy. You know what? I'll just stick to the X4's internal audio which is good until you move away from it(which i rarely do) or get caught in a windy situation. Anyways, thanks for the test.
@@Sir-Kay If I am not mistaken, you can set your DJI Mic 2 to auto record onto the transceiver in 32-bit float! So every time it turns on, it's already recording. It'll even overwrite older files when the mic is full.
I was waiting for the the gen 2 to come out but honestly I couldn’t wait and I heard that there might be minor changes honestly there still the a good pair of headphones and like he said I’m not a audio critique so you know I just want something that has good sound and will last me, I might trade them in later on but for now I got mine today of prime day so can’t wait to get them.
Nice video! There's no way I'm buying anything with a lightning connector in July of 2024, even below $400. Additionally, the updated chip will allow for Adaptive Transparency which is my favorite feature on the AirPods Pro 2. I'd rather spend the extra to get the device I want. If you're OK with lightning and no updated chip though, agree you might as well buy these today. I ordered the Bose QC Ultra which are also discounted for Prime Day. If they don't integrate well into the Apple ecosystem I'll return them and order the AirPods Max 2 later this year.
@@nycchislc yup! The USB-C was my biggest hang up since everything I have has updated to that, but I do still have some old AirPods too so will still need it. In a few years when the 2 goes on sale maybe I'll upgrade.
I have these glasses and when they record it take pictures it’s in a wide shot. I do not know why he is advertising the recording in crop mode when he is personally making the video cropped. If I seen his video first I may not have brought the glasses. When advertising show the exact features without your personal effects that the device doesn’t do.
@@elJong "He" as in the guy in this video. If this is you then you are "He". The video of the Ray-ban glasses record and take photos in wide landscape mode. You edited the glasses in cropped letter head mode which the glasses do not do. Viewers may see the edited video you posted of the glasses recording they may not like and will not buy because of this is all I’m referring to.
@@richardslaughter4127 Ah I see! I guess the standard way of showing vertical photos on landscape videos escape you and some people a bit. Generally though, the blurred/greyed out 'addition' to the vertical video straight from the Ray-Ban is just a filler for RU-vid videos, but I get what you mean about adding the extra bit to the sides. I didn't modify the actual sample anyway.
@@elJongwhat I’m saying is you should have put a disclaimer saying the blurred out vertical mode is not the feature of the Ray-ban meta recording modes. You can disarray prospective buyers with the way you added the blurred sides without this being a Ray-ban Meta feature.
@@richardslaughter4127 It's standard practice and to add some background to vertical videos in RU-vid and adding a disclaimer to ever single nuisance might be untenable, but I understand the comment. It was also clearly described in the video and all the features that the video is vertical only.
Where is the volume control for the Mike's I know there's two mics One mic is on the gimbal and One mic is on the handler where is the volume control for these mics?
I don't think there is a 'control' for the mics (or I haven't used it), but the actual mic 'holes' are 2 on the handle, one on the right and one of the left side of the handle screen, and ne on the detachable camera itself, just forward of the small screen it has.
When you were using Bluetooth, I noticed the background sound was removed entirely; how can we balance it? Also, can I record using Bluetooth and an Insta mic at the same time?
Yes, when on BT the pickup is a little more concentrated on voice which can be good. And when you are using the BT, that's the only audio that will be recorded, the X4's mics won't be on.
