I've been cutting my rope way too short and had to start all over again dozens of times already... :( If I want my leash to measure 120cm how many meters of rope do I need to cut? Can someone please help me out?
how do u attach the second O ring at the end? watched 3 of your slip collar video's not and i still have no idea... is it with the Fib? or is it part of the weave that you attach it? can you show us how to finish this collar?
!!BE WARNED!! our family spent about 2 weeks to braid a 17.5 in collar for the dog, but NOWHERE in this vid did it warn or mention how much shrink would occur after measuring the original cows hitch buckle tutorial stuff. we made the length of collar fit the dog PERFECTLY with plenty of loose area with the skeleton of this build, but once weaving these cords in, it shrunk almost 2 inches, now won't fit and chokes the dog. calculating it up roughly, add about 1 inch per every 10 inches to account for how much the thing will shrink just from weaving it up. !!USING THIS GUIDE PER INSTRUCTIONS WILL MAKE A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUSLY TIGHT COLLAR, BE AWARE!!
Hi, I’d be grateful if you’d explain what you mean by “keep going” at 13 mins 54. Which row do I do next? Is it a three or four row repeat? I guess I can work it out but it’d be really user friendly if you named the iterations and say repeat from …. Or a as/from x seconds into the video. I do hope that makes sense - it’s supposed to be constructive. I’m in the middle of making it after all ❤
Wish there was explanation on what to do when transitioning to the handle just a video is very confusing. I’m currently on my 4th attempt and still can’t get it right
So confused. First desired length is the length between the two hooks, then "should look like this" and the desired length is show again without hooks after adding the hooks. What?!
Great video until the end, where your hands are off screen. I tried doing it like I thought you were trying to show us. Burnt the ends. Gave the leash a good tug and😢 it unraveled!
Like your tutorial with two o rings but I’m wondering if you are willing to make new tutorial and can you add dollar tree white rope thickness. It’s big and thick round. Not sure how to measure the thickness. I wanted to learn how to use two o rings start and end and somehow to have white rope inside of the center then you add paracord whatever that work with style very tighten and make sure not show any of white rope exposed. Hide them very well. It’d be great to see how you would make. I’m trying to find one that made for handle. I have seen your leash with rope inside but similar like that. Can you do that??? I would love to learn. If you have any tips or make new video. It’d be great. I always want to learn but couldn’t figure it out to hide the white thick rope inside so it can make it more thicker handle
18 inch collar the cord would be 1’ per 18 inches (12 x 18 = 216) For Inches long) and the other would be 1.25’ per inch in length (12.5x18= 225 long.) 216 inches For three cords 225 inches for one cord Correct?
you can also add an extra foot to whatever measurement for "just in case" moments or if you think it might be too short, the only downside is possible extra waste on the end to cut off - the VERY IMPORTANT PART is making sure the core two-strand-double-cow's-hitch bracelet bit is measured properly to the pet so it's big enough. we made ours 2 inches larger than the pets neck, and it STILL shrunk from 18 in to 16 by the end - we estimate adding about 1in per every 10 inches to account for it. so in short - use extra length if you're worried for the weave, and DEFINITELY use a bit more length for the collar core
OMG, thank you so much for this tutorial. I've been looking for a tutorial that easy to understand and OMG your's is a life saver for a beginner - very easy to understand. Again, thank you much .
I suck at math and can't figure this out, 1 ft of cord for 1in of length, but is that taking any the cord already folding in half, how much cord do I need for 5-6 ft leash, I don't understand
Hi, it means for every one inch in the made weave (eg. one inch of the leash) you'll need one foot of cord. You'll have leftover over cord by the end of the braid but I like to add a couple extra feet since its better to have too much than not enough.
