Odd how I asked someone a bit of a rhetorical a question thinking that they would obviously say no. Although, their initial response provided a noticable micro expression and Freudian slip with partially verbalization of a "Yes!", then quickly followed by the obviously expected professional answer of, "No!". All of which was followed by me vocally stating upon how surprised I was to find out that my what was supposed to be just some random question associated with the overall conversation we were having, not acknowledging the truth of the situation unspoken.

this is not a very good coach. He is borderline condescending and just sounds like an ass. If he was more respectful this session would have gone much better. Honestly, most boomers behave like this.

Don’t listen to this. Ppl with complex trauma overanalyze this stuff and no one can know what someone is Truly feeling. Unless you have experience with one person you know well. Any facial expression could mean anything. Avoid watching this crap

I'm now convinced you say anger too much. You are really missing intrigued. The guy was intrigued, and then he was surprised. His eyebrows narrow because he is having a realization. The realization surprised him. It was intrigued. And the "disapproval". You say anger when it should be disapproval ALOT .

I'm not catching anger all the time you catch it. I know you're the expert, but it FEELS like you're missing "questioning"/"intrigued". The last one and one other felt more like intrigued rather than anger. I've been able to catch ppls emotions on a physic and empathy base, and I'm pretty accurate.

As working as an exective coach is currently one of my career options, this makes me imagine what exactly I am gonna be doing, at the same time, makes me wonder what kind of people tend to succeed as a coach... I appreciate if anyone with experiences help me figure this out

IMO Executive coaching requires at least 10 years of hands on experience, leading teams in your own business or as a senior manager in corporate. If you're asking this question, I suggest getting as much experience as possible. A problem I see in the field where most CEOs and Founders are frustrated with is inexperienced "Coaches" & "Business Consultants" giving them cookie cutter advice they've acquired from a course. SO get hands on experience and on top of this find a mentor and invest on Coaching to work on yourself. Good luck!

If this is not a short version of a coaching session then it’s not a coaching session. Identifying who is responsible is not at all identifying what he should do about it. Everyone thinks they know what the problem is but not identifying the solution leaves all the work ahead of you.

Nope. This was perfect. The client realised that there is no problem and what he needs to do next. You are not there to give advice, but rather to guide them
