Wow, this is stuff I've been teaching myself since I was a kid. I was always extremely shrewd and noticed the most intricate details. People thought I was a detective or something. I just loved to watch people talk. And I never talked at all. It wasn't until about 16 that I realized I could use all these skills of communication. It always blew people away to see a teenager so well versed in communication lol.

Yea, a teenage prodigy detective for sure. I see that you take a lot pride on it, but you didn't wanna talk much so you ended up on social media to brag about it.

@@dreamychaviv6681 let people be proud of and process things in real time. Trauma will often cause teenagers to develop this skill much too early. Maybe this person had a very rough life. Maybe you did too and thats why you're so bitter but you shouldn't take it out on people either way.

I had a similar experience because I would often just listen to conversations in group settings and just watch people talking. I didn’t know why but I would have a feeling about how people felt towards each other and a lot of times it was uncomfortable to watch. They’re all joking around and laughing but I could tell that one person didn’t like another person or one person REALLY I liked another person. The weirdest thing though is that I struggled to read people when they were speaking to me. Maybe it’s because I was only used to doing it when I wasn’t engaged in conversation but I think it has something to do with my social anxiety. I’m always suspicious of people’s thoughts about me and so I could never trust the signals thought I was getting and I didn’t know them concretely enough to reassure myself it was all instinct.

I've had contempt and disgust on my face since November of 2016, so I don't know how useful this would be on me.

Alan Page sometimes we must identify what causes anger or disgust and try to get over it, by accepting it. That is the first step

After watching this a while ago, after looking into it more after watching the show Lie to Me. I was so intrigued. I notice these microexpressions on the daily now, in person and on TV shows and what is crazy I even notice these on myself when I make a microexpression myself. Its insane. Because they are an unconscious act.

Well, What is true is, that you can detect emotions. What is not true at all is that you "read peoples minds". We see a signal. We characterize that signal. Everything else is just interpretation.

Pretty good if you want to know what pleasures others like or see and hear. Also use the face to imagine secrets. The secrets of others' micro-expressions. I think you should be nice and polite. They will never see you coming!

Something I am suspicious of is when people act happy but without the reason to be happy, i'll just use this video for example they are smiling a lot in this video but why are they smiling what is the reason to smile? you can usually tell a forced smile or a genuine smile...a natural smile will come at the moment of happiness their face will light up and change this is natural happiness but requires a trigger. So i don't just look at the facial expressions but also the triggers and reasons

Now everyone wears literal masks at work so we can only see the eyes. I’ve realized that I’m more free with expressions because of the mask. Interesting.
