@@TunedRAMS that is what I was thinking. I bought it used and just needed a truck. Like the rough country leveling shocks, but I’ve been seeing these maxtrac drop kits and the trucks look oh so nice.
Your video is invaluable. I've worked for 8 hours already to put brakes on all the way around my 2012 Ram. I didn't know about the parking brake replacement until I started the job. My e-brake shoes fell apart as well. This video will ease my frustration a little just knowing the how-tos. Thank you, buddy.
So how did this mod work for you as far as low and mid power was it a feel able difference. Im considering the swap and tune with a full header back exhaust and then possibly a 75-100 shot kit for you occasional fun ...or a super charger like rhe ripp but the bolt ons bring me to about 330 awd and the shot 415-430 ...ripp about same but the nitrous is cheaper and keeps me a little more safe ticket wise since its only there when system is on ... vs 420+ anytime...i have a cdl but a heavy foot 😅
@@TunedRAMS Ya, the part I need MOPAR says is discontinued, these parts for the 2012. They only have the 2013 and on...I was wondering if you could point me in the direction for the year that I need.
$5681.76 with tax, front and back, from the link you provided. I’m not paying that for brakes 😂😂😂😂. Yall on some good drugs if you’re putting $6,000 brakes on a truck with a trade in value of $25k, at best. You, specifically, need to properly fix the geometry on your rear axle before you worry about $6,000 brakes. 😂
As difficult as getting the pads and springs back on do you think it's be easier/faster to pull the axle and do it unobstructed? Both ways seem like they suck
The only thing I will give to the ProMaster it does have a roomier cab. The KUV body for the ProMaster seems roomy too. They stink with front wheel drive in a 1 ton.... by the way it is a 2022 with a v6 ( no turbo) and a 9 speed transmission. Don't know if I should tow 7500# or not, but I am, so, oh well!
My findings with these units is they work or they don't. Mine currently has experienced 3 electronic parking brake failures in its only 18 month life from new. Plus other electrical issues. Currently has just North of 36k miles.
I ordered the ZIP system tape on Amazon but it seems way thicker than yours. I used it anyway. Extremely sticky... Plus ordered a new gasket... I think with the two, I hope to God the leak will be stopped. Of course I fear I have more of a leak than just the 3rd brake light. I can't see anything around the window, sliding rear window, etc. but it may be leaking too. Or the vents like yours. What a PITA!!!! I have a mildew smell. I also installed a cabin air filter kit since my 2016 didn't come with one.
@@barn_mechanic5364 the rears are for a later time, the weight difference is in the me video, see the comment that has the timeline, about 4 lbs heavier for the new set up
