I hear it's annoying to fill up this bike because the gas tank is shaped like a V and takes a bit for gas to fill up the back part of the v, so like the last gallon or so takes a bit of time due to fuel nozzle clicking off repeatedly. This true?
This is possibly the most beautiful bike I've ever seen. Driving myself crazy watching a bunch of videos on it as it's out of my price range right now.... but one day, it'll be mine.
After seeing the line up in person, I like how subtle the changes are in the looks category. They kept the style, and improved the function and more options right from the factory
im trying to figure out if im going to go for the Sport Chief or the 101. I dont really do too much touring stuff. my 22 Chief 111 is cool but i feel like its not as fun for just local riding in San Diego
Both are fun bikes! I will say sport chief had better torque feel but both have great suspension. Chief has a little better gas range and is a little more planted but that new speed plus motor is an absolute fun ride!! Tough choice for sure
Nice. Seems to be like the scout I never had issues but some did. I still have the ftr I use a tender more and it’s been great. I also don’t live far from work. I’m act moving and I’ll have more miles to work which should help it.
Would adding the 10 inch risers to the sport be more similar to the old 10 in apes on the rouge? The 6 in risers seem to bring the bars lower than the old rouge.
I have a 2025 scout bobber + tech with the new digital gauge, do you know of or have experience issues with connecting the packtalk pro to the ride command ?
I was having this issue but I haven’t updated all my stuff and tried again mine is from before the release update. So not 100% sure what’s going on just yet
Steel chassis, and full interchangeability across all five models of the Scout is a great move. Not so impressed with the Sport Scount, BUT the 101 to me is a modern classic.
Are they too loud on your ears while on the highway? I also leave early for work something but need something besides the stock exhaust. V&H were too much for me. Thanks!
These would be similar to the Vance and Hines of the Vance and Hines don’t have the quiet baffles in them. On the highway I liked them but that’s just me.
Great side by side. The new scout at first glance doesn’t do it for me enough to want to get rid of my 18 bobber. But I also havnt touched one yet. I felt the same way when the new 2021 gm and chev 3500’s came out. Didnt like the relocation of the side mirrors. Liked the mirrors on my 14 3500 better. But having a newer gm for work now the mirror have grown on me. I quite enjoy the styling. Perhaps the new frame and bit will grow on me too. Now….just need to get my hands on one.
@@FoxVelox222 ya I don’t know anyone who’s actually had any issues with it. A have a few friends that have 101 scout and sport chief. Go pro sees it but not us I guess lol
So the regular scout feels good. The 101 with its time feels like mine and mine has an aftermarket tune, 2-1 exhaust and s&s intake. The suspension on 101 is also top choice
I don’t have one, but for me when I get one: Heal Shifter, Highway pegs, higher bars, lights, seat, pipes. That’s what I’ve done with my road glide so far. I’ll probably have Indian do it from the beginning.
I'm curious what size of person you are. Not trying to be rude but you looked a little bit big for the bike and it seemed to have pretty good performance still
No worries man. I’m 5’7” 300lbs the bike has no issues with my size. I own a 2018 Indian scout bobber and it’s been amazing for over 20k miles now through my highs and my lows.
Bearded! How is it holding up after a bunch of miles? My TBR 2-1 is falling a part so I am getting the freedom 2-1. Love your videos RIP dadwithabike. I originally bought the tbr 2-1.... Installed at the dealership, ss intake, pv3 tuned.....8k miles later its falling apart. The headers go into it vertically and are a pressure fit with 2 springs. Two bros said its leaking because the metal contracted and expanded in cold temps.... The exhaust is going in the garbage!
I haven’t had any issues with mine. I know a few people with freedom and I have one on my Chief too Rickynotsomartin probably has the most miles on his and from everything I know his is doing great.
@@TheBeardedBobber Dude, thank you. I read some not so great OLD reviews from freedoms on harleys where welds broke and c02 sensor area cracked. Really trying not to make another $1000 mistake like I did with Two Bros. I have upgraded front and read suspension and dont ride like I do on my sport bike. Not concerned with lean angle. Thank you so much. Ride safe
I was under the impression you should never redline a motorcycle when it’s in the first 500 mile break-in period… this is why I would never buy a demo.
These ones I believe are pre production so I don’t think they will get sold. Since they were so early in production. Usually that’s the break in period but same thing I think these had a break in at factor. I could be wrong but it didn’t feel like a break in bike. I agree though demo bikes are a roll of the dice. I’ve helped my local dealer run the demo truck and people really don’t care about bikes. Do way worse stuff than what I did. Also thankfully these bikes are never tuned to where they really can redline which keeps them safer I think.
Oh I never had that happen. I think the new connection is a lot better. The magnetic clip is very nice and it clicks in too. It’s a slick design that I never worry about it being secure
I will say I still have it and it’s been great. The battery tender helps so much. If this was mine I would’ve made a few mods but it’s a great bike still!
Thunder beach in panama city beach florida has always been my favorite. Been going since i was 15. This year a couple riders died every night. Felt like a bunch of northern riders towed their bike down then bar hopped all night and got too crazy. Think im going to stick to exploring places that i havent been yet and less time at bike rallys.
That seat on that bike is badass! Was the logo and red on the lumbar a customization they did specifically for you or is that something anybody can order from Saddlemen? I'm getting ready to switch out my seat and couldn't find anything on their website to customize anything other than the color of the stitching
I am 45 , 5 foot 8 210 never ridding a street bike but hage a decent amount of experience with 2 stroke 250cc dirt bikes. Looking at either this or a Harley Fat Bob. Think that is 2 much bike for a semi begginer
So this has more power than the fat bob but the fat bob is torquey. So honestly it’s about the same. If you respect the bike you’ll be good. It’s all about what fits you
@@TheBeardedBobber Thanks for response. This is much nicer on my wallet, and do they have nice after market pipe and headsr combos to get her a little more bark ?
