I think the motor is great, I would be ok if that was the same. Would like to see ride command and better shocks.

Why aren't Indian creating a naked Power Plus 108ci powered cruiser ,the motor from the Challenger? Seems an obvious choice 🇦🇺

If the Scout 101 is among this teaser, I think that the 101 would stand for either 101 HP which would be 11 HP over the current lineup, or 101 CI engine which would be bitchin' to say the least. It would be sick to see a more retro looking Scout board tracker styled machine. Something super minimal with a beastly fast revving engine that pays homage to the rat racer bikes that preceded what we have come to know as cafe racers. I love Indian's styling over that of Harley Davidson's especially with the smaller bikes like the FTR and the naked machines. I'm intrigued and excited to see what 2024 has in store.

I hope it’s not just more electronics. Look how that’s turned out with the Sportster S. I don’t want TFT display on a chopped down motorcycle. Reason I got the bobber was the mechanical tech was modern, without modern flashy distraction tech that increases the cost of the bike by another $2k. I just want to ride a raw ripper, and Indian should always keep that as an option in their lineup. If they want to add a fuel gauge, cruise control, built-in programmable garage door opener, or can opener, that’d be great. I’d even be alright with LEDs. 👍

I don’t think they’ll drop the entire current line of scouts. Can’t see them dropping all 4 or all 8 (if you count the 60 models) for just 1 scout model. The math doesn’t add up especially when the scout has arguably dominated the scene in its category for many years now. I think it’s gonna be a “Scout 101” with an engine similar to the challengers 108 engine. Bigger fuel tank with more electronics. Just a sport chief with a water cooled engine all while staying with the current scout frame design. Essentially giving the scout a 3rd tier structure in its lineup…more for those who want to stay with a scout but have more power.

Good analysis! Exciting! I feel like I'm trading in the Indian Springfield and going Indian Scout again. I Traded in my V-Rod in 2016, bought a Vintage, traded the vintage for a Scout bobber, which to date is the best bike I've had (I've had Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and 10 years on Ducati, plus a bunch Harleys) Bring on the new Scouts... it takes a lot for me to be disappointed. I guess I'm a Scout fan boy.

Questions, questions... A bigger version of the existing Scout motor would require more bore AND stroke - not sure if that would fit in the existing frame (which I consider most likely to be retained) The Challenger motor would be a great 'Super Scout' but no longer a mid-size cruiser. Reducing the stroke of the challenger engine to an over-square would give a displacement of just over 1.4ltrs - still not a mid-size cruiser. My money's on a slightly bigger version of the FTR engine; probably the same strike as crankshafts are expensive to develop & test for reliability. How much power? My guess is 115bhp: you just can't use more on a cruiser motorcycle and the Harley-Davidson Sportster S is more of an FTR competitor, so no real need to compete with that. So, same front frame, maybe a new rear subframe (to allow for more rear suspension travel - the biggest problem with the Bobber variants) USD forks on all but the classic variants, the new Ride Command with all the New Chief goodness. Hopefully a new seat and a re-styled tank & fenders; nore fuel capacity is always welcome. New wheels of course: fatter 17" front & rear for the sportier variants, 16" for a bobber and maybe a 19" front for a more classic version. Looking at the new Royal Enfield Shotgun and the classic Scout in the promo video, I wonder if we'll see a floating seat as standard...? Great video, man! I still have my '17 standard Scout - could be time to think about changing at last 😎

on the shot from the front, look at the width of the the engine casings. looks wider than the current scout.

I’m curious if it will be a tubular frame or aluminum stress member? I love the current Scout but there is always room for improvement.

I think the Scout motor is wasted in most of the current Scout models. This definitely looks like something more like the Sport Chief, but with the sportier Scout motor. But Indian has let me down before. Back when the Pursuit was in the rumour stages I saw patent drawings of something like a Challenger, but with a Chieftan bat-wing fairing. That would have been my ideal. (I still can't warm up to that awful frame mount fairing.) Unfortunately it was just a Challenger with more junk on it.

I'm super excited to be honest, wife is looking into a bobber for her first. I already just bought my rouge lol
