Recently got one of these for srt base anchor then to changeover to drt cambium saver, excellent bit of kit! I use low stretch lines, so this will compensate the lost dampening you would usually have with lines with a bit more stretch if I happen to have a fall. So lucky to be blessed with all this cool gear nowadays! 👍
Looks like a nice and compact solution. I have been using a petzl grigri but it is annoyingly difficult to pull rope back through to lengthen it. 2:50 haha but now you gotta climb back up to get it! Good point about taking the wrap when choking though.
Although this is an old video, just want to point (2019) out, a prussik over another prussik isn't much (any?) additional protection - if the upper one fails and slides into the lower one, then that'll go too! Down you go! Better the mechanical shown, or an alpine butterfly under the top prussik, with a biner in the alpine knot loop 'cuz it's life support! In the modern day of two TIPS and two climb lines a la SPRAT, I don't think this would be looked on favourably. This is a variation of the secret weapon (which has advantge of having two rings for the climbing rope bend). Just heads up for any new climbers out there . . . . (Nice artwork!)
This is amazing, was pretty staunchly against buying any 'fancy toys' for SRT but this is...wow it is brilliant I've gotta scrape up the dough for one of these :D

I have one of these is constantly tightening up when I don't want it to and sometimes it doesn't shut itself another words that's why it's not Dependable for a single Anchor Point cost me $400 for it and the half inch wire core Flipline. I'm not impressed but I don't hate it.
This is junk, the more crap to go wrong and cause injury or death, using srt with a natural crotch without isolating your rope over one branch is in my opinion the safest way to climb, they can't even answer your questions!!!!.
Incorrect - simple rope work would prevent you from needing 3x the length of rope by creating an endless loop by connecting each end of the climbing line together - providing there are no redirects through a cambium ring or similar.
