Recently got one of these for srt base anchor then to changeover to drt cambium saver, excellent bit of kit! I use low stretch lines, so this will compensate the lost dampening you would usually have with lines with a bit more stretch if I happen to have a fall. So lucky to be blessed with all this cool gear nowadays! 👍
You can avoid the 3x problem (or separate rope) issue when lowering SRT by tying the ends of the rope together. Ascend on a continuous loop. Handy trick if you don't need to re-position with the end of the rope.
Do you guys make use of the ART LightAnchor? It would seem to me that the SnakeAnchor is by far more versatile (context: friction/cambium saver) and for not to much extra cost.
Incorrect - simple rope work would prevent you from needing 3x the length of rope by creating an endless loop by connecting each end of the climbing line together - providing there are no redirects through a cambium ring or similar.
What product is that? Do you mean this? Sirius multi anchor by Treemagineers? I'm looking for the best lowerable basal anchor. www.clarkforest.com/shop/climbing/treemagineers-products/sirius-multianchor
