Back in 2020, i made a couple of fanarts for HATE's true form that, now that i look them back, they look somewhat better than the official one. I took for inspiration the Delta Rune (that iconic symbol from Undertale/Deltarune) and made it look intimidating (it kinda looked like a Kirby final boss). I even managed to make that artwork featured in a Glitchtale Showcase, in hope (no pun intended) that Camila would use it for the finale, instead we got what we got. Funny story: back in 2021, i compared HATE's final form to a "Sword Fighter Ganondorf". At the time, when i said that, what i meant was the Ganondorf from the Smash Bros series (the one that everyone remembers for his "DORIYAH"), then 2023 came and TOTK was released and well... the final boss...

Your ideas about Chara subconsciously immitating frisk's combat moves and the chara monologue actually have potential if you ask me! Also about the series, as a kid I admit I genuinely looked up to it and admired it profoundly. Now that I have grown up and learned more about story building and depth and all that, I agree with what RU-vidrs like you say in their reviews of the series. Of course, that doesn't mean I can pretend I never liked the series. Great video!
Glitchtale was so "good" in the past when you were a kid (not saying you cannot enjoy something whether your age everybody has an opinion) but when you look back at it, it is like Lego Chima cringe
I like this video, but there is one thing... According to the (now private) official website for Glitchtale, they confirmed that Hate doesn't die. This is because all Hate is one entity and more of it exists inside Chara's heart. Not to mention, it can still generate in any human hearts with chroma magic. Personally, I also thought the ending was a little underwhelming. Otherwise, I agree with more or less everything you said*
Fffff.... your idea of what the ending scene shouldve been made me rear up up. I love Chara so much, and knowing for their hate of humanity and themselves, it hits alot more tp hear them say "i want to live" like omg..... this shouldve been the ending......
See this is why you don't rush things and take the time to think through whatever it is you're writing. This is something fanfic writers should take note, now excuse me as I go write everything you shouldn't do😊
I'm not gonna lie, the worldbuilding kind of trashed the original story and everything it was originally about. It was kind of weird, but whatever. They kind of made a weird origin story that didn't really match up with the themes of the actual story. To be honest, Frisk's arc was really messed up. I think it would be cooler if they decided to use their remaining time to go on a rampage, destroying as much of their enemy as possible, before passing everything down to Chara in one final strike. So the answer with their question of how to deal with an uncertain future, is to just keep fighting on.
I know i'm late, but honestly, i thought everyone started forgetting and didn't care about Glitchtale when the allegations come in and deliver the real face of a true horrible fucking person as Camila is.
We need to also take into account that Glitchtale happened because fans wanted Camila to continue series after "megalomaniac" (that old MSpaint animation with Sans Vs Chara) People are generally accusing the animator but not necessarily the fans, where they also were somewhat responsible for "bending" the canon, i. e. Sans being bring back where he then dies in the same episode, which was just hyping but for nothing.

as much as I think Hope was fine enough, my main gripe is something that I think would've elevated the fight. Why doesn't hate keep using the other soul traits? Given we KNOW it can use it's own form of the traits magic, given it can be seen as inheriting them from Chara originally. But it shows if used in tandem, it could very easily win. It had a power that forced chara to the floor, then attacked with another soul type. What's to say it couldn't use that attack and the DT floor beam? I wish we'd seen more of the fight with it using a variety of magic with its sword.
My perspective is that the part of the fandom this series was meant for simply grew out of it, and there just isn't enough in it except for mayhe some nostalgia to hook people in by itself after all the years. Very simply little take and an attitude towards things that's just what it is and goes nowhere further.
I have a quick question, how did Betty even die? We were literally told, again and again that only determination can beat fear, the why does Gaster just kills her? It does not make sense, yeah you could argue that "the beams were red so they have determination" or some shit like that, but then why building up the determination vs fear when you just use a bald eggman to finish the job?
That is just something I thought up randomly but why not lol. You don’t exactly murder everyone as a soulless flower and end up fine or at least I doubt it lol. So one way or another hate possesses asriel turning him into an asriel/flowey amalgamation which kills chara. As this is going on Papyrus is grieving his brother and decides that he would want him to save people from the collateral damage of chara/asriel/hate’s fight. Cut back to the hate possessed Asriel/flowey standing over chara’s corpse about to destroy their soul when a red gloved skeletal hand snatches it away…
My problem is that Chara doesnt get any development and Frisk got his events erased, it could have made sense that frisk gives his soul to chara so his councious/being that was gliched separated of his soul so chara gets his place and frisk finally colapses from existence That would have kept all of CHARAS DEVELOPMENT and everyone else recognizing him makes sense, like, it makes absolute sense that chara develops on it, but that was a wasted chance
I never understood why the series finale focused on the random human OCs we barely knew. The last fight also was very predictable, nothing new happened, it was just a slice and dice finish. We should have focused more on Chara and Asriel, but instead we got… some angry abusive mom in a hallway??? Wrong time and wrong place The finale should have been about loss imo, and handling that loss. Living on even when many have died, but never forgetting their memory. Letting many live with you. But Camila wanted us to forget dead characters for some reason. It was strange.
