Hey, we're Jenni and Jesse. In the fall of 2019, we started traveling full-time in our RV/travel trailer. After years of being inspired by other RV full-time travelers on RU-vid, we were able to realize our dream and do it ourselves. Now we're documenting and sharing our adventure, both to have a way to look back at the trip in the future and to inspire others to get out there. If you can't travel yourself, you're always welcome to join us on our journey right here!
I just purchased a Jackery 2000plus extra battery. I also have 4 Harbor Freight 100 watt solar panels and a 400 watt Dorkio panel. My question is with harbor panels in series-parallel configuration i get approx 36 volts and the dorkio is 40 volts. Can i connect 4 harbors to 1 input and the dorkio to the other?
Hi, the manual for the Explorer 2000 Plus states "When the two DC inputs of this product are used at the same time, please ensure that the number of solar panels connected in series is the same, and try to use the same type of solar panel.". Since the working voltage of your four Harbor Freight panels wired in series-parallel is very similar to the single Dokio panel, it should technically work even though it's not the same number of panels.
Hi! A bike rack like the SOLE R by Young Electric should work fantastic. (here's the link to Amazon: amzn.to/3Xya6MI)

I am from Cuba and here I have a Power Queen 12V 100Ah Mini. It has been with me for a year without any problems. I use it for 2 lamps, the internet router, a laptop with an external monitor. I am very satisfied.
Handy info ,thanks. I'm considering removing my dometic harrier inverter rooftop aircon as it's shot and put in same vent as yours. Cheers from qld Australia.
Cool Idea. I've seen some folks with a bladder laying in the bed of their pickup. Could that be plumbed to feed water to the city water hookup? Sort of an on demand water system and would let you keep your fresh water tank full and available when your other sources were gone.
When changing the settings, they always revert back to factory settings. Could you please advise method of changing settings so they remain as set. Thank you.
Good video. I have a question. While you are using the solar charger, can you also go inside the camper and use the appliance in there at the same time the battery is charging??? Thank you
Hi sorry for the late reply! Ja, du kan använda din Nomad panel. De har samma input, även fast jag har haft lite problem med att vissa 8mm är annorlunda, så är det värt ett försök.
How do I connect the proprietary Boulder 50 solar panel to something like an MPPT? I ordered a Renogy Rover and it looks like it just takes a bare wire.
I have the same monitor as yours, but I tried connecting my Mini DisplayPort Cable to Type C Adapter to the Portable Monitor and it doesn't work. I even put another Type C to it as power. 😭
So can i just use a mini pc and not have to connect it to a laptop or anything like that. I just want to play my sims again and i dont have much room for a big set up
We dry camp as well and my roof is weak around ac. Likely have to remove to fix. Won’t put ac back rather use a vent like you. Only thing I would add would be some kind of riser on the roof to get the seal of vent to roof higher than roof. Kind of like rvroofinstall does
How were the plastic fenders doing would you rather have metal How long did it take actually to charge the battery from dead Any contact with their customer service about the seat issue if so how did they respond GREAT video by the way thanks!
If you have this set up, but need more power (like for a slide or tv etc..), and wanted to use a generator for that... how would you avoid overcharging the battery once you switch to generator for that purpose? Thanks.
The solar charge controller will prevent overcharging with a panel. If you plug a generator in the converter charger in your camper will prevent overcharging as well, even if they're both trying to charge the battery at the same time.
I'd love to see how to make the brake adjustment. I know it might to be very efficient to spend a lot of time on one bike but maybe a generalized tutorial. This model is going to be the I one I get in a few months.
