Wow that was one of the easiest sexings I've ever seen, I've had a bamboo shrimp for about a year now in my tank and I wanted to figure out what gender they were, a link on Google sent me here and it became very obvious I had a female within the first minute or so lol
Corydoras Habrosus are my absolute favorite fish of all time!! I have a group of Pygmy’s and Habrosus which are so cute and sweet together. The Pygmy’s LOVE them and follow them around like little ducklings 😂. I now have multiple Pygmy Cory fry getting larger darting around the tank (my adult Pygmy’s have been very busy, now my Habrosus have spawned as well 👏). It’s been such a joy! ❤
You're freaking and stressing them out by not provividing them with a species essential habitat where they can feel safe while exploring, eating, and socialising and mating. You've deprived them og thr environment that they neev in order to thrive , which constantly subjuects them to severe excessive and unecessary physiological stress. This means that their quality of live is greatmey decreased theire lifespan is shortened significantly. They're qlnd absolutely qnazing little fish, and I highly recommend spending some time observing well cared for kuhli loaches them in an an optimal habitat where theyir true natural behaviours and personality quirks can be observed. They're massively underared little little derp noodle fish :)
this was a quarantine tank, not a long term tank. I have some that I have had for 15 years in my displays- these were being cleared to sell and needed to be observed as loaches are hard to treat appropriately for illness, especially if its not noticed right away
What size netting can dragonflies slip through? I want to get away with the largest effective size possible, since things like window screen inhibit viewing and feeding my fish.
Hey, weird message but I thought you should be aware. Joey mullen has been talking about you and him in a hotel room a few years back almost bragging. I thought it was super inappropriate and thought you should know. Beautiful fish room
Great video, can’t believe you managed to breed these! Have they ever spawned again for you since? Could you share anymore about the setup you have and water parameters etc. when they did spawn?
Love your videos and your fish room, I’m setting up my first fish wall, after seeing the beauty of angel fish raise their baby I’m so excited to jump into. I would love to see a fish breeding tips, or selling your fish video. Love your channel! And the hair is perfect.
I recently purchased some shrimp with Ellobiopsidae and was able to treat them using Catappa Indian Almond Leaves and Alder Cones. I have a 5 gallon tank and I placed 5 small Catappa leaves and 5 Alder Cones each into the tank. I allowed the water to set for three days and get very dark, almost completely black. I then started doing 50% water changes every two days until the water was a very light brown. All my shrimp are now free of the Ellobiopsidaev growth and are super active and healthy looking. I found online where others have had luck with this same method. I figured I'd try it first since it didn't require and chemical medications.
"Really the best 'barometer' for tank health" is mentioned near end of video as far as pond snails go... Please explain how I was under assumption that barometer was a tool used for the atmosphere, as opposed to in the water. What am i not getting? Please help lol
But does the clear strips mean they are sick? A lot of mine have clear spots and came out clear sometimes. I just thought it was from blue breeding with red and maybe something happened in the meantime
I had some real trouble breeding daphnia. Earlier I'd tipped some in our fish pond (that had no fish in it). It was full of mosquito wrigglers so I doubted they would survive. Then about a month later not having much luck I took some water from the fish pond (thinking it looks like green water which they are suppose to like). It had loads of daphnia in it! Like loads and lots of really big ones. My Axolotl babies are loving it and I don't have to do anything but net some out. There are still loads of mosquito wrigglers in it but they get eaten just as well.
Hey! I have been taking a break from aquarium hobby since my oscar died. AND 2 YEARS OF NEWS ABOUT YOUR CHANNEL WAS A HUGE SHOCK FOR ME. I hope you're doing fine if not better. I will keep on waiting for your next video. I won't stop watching from now on huhu
