Its probably a private load board. I have tried DAT for research purposes and I can say that the only ones making money from it is DAT with their monthly subscriptions just to use the service. I see guys running semi trucks getting less than $2/mile on there all the time. Like most things, probably 3 percent of the users are doing well and another 15 percent are doing ok to not so good, and the rest are just giving their money away and getting no return.
To all you drivers and potential drivers out there, if you are taking loads for anything less than a 1.50 a mile you are driving for nothing and you are screwing the rest of us as well. The price for gas and food alone today is ridiculous same for hotels. 1.50 PM is the minimum you should be charging. I personally don't spin my wheel for anything less than 1.90 and I get it too. We don't just drive, we have to deal with not being home we miss out on a lot of family time we deal with crazy drivers and traffic all fckn day we sleep out in the van most nights to save money we risk being robed or shot when we go to places that aren't safe and I have been to a few especially in South Georgia. Not to mention this is a supply and demand business without us people don't get what they want or need so yes, we have the power to name a fair price for our services and not take pennies for what we do but it will take all of us to make this happen so spread the word to your fellow drivers. I do it every time I see a cargo van in a parking lot I preach as if I am spreading the word of God don't take loads if they are not paying. The biggest reason for this is that the dispatchers are taking most of the money. They don't leave the house and if they do, they most likely have a nice comfy spot and play Xbox all day while they talk on the phone for 60 to 120 seconds at a time setting up a load for you. Don't take low paying loads period.

Thanks for watching. Yes, if you’re using Google Maps app it does! (Not from CarPlay or android auto) And the minimized picture-in-picture is re-scalable to change size of it 😁 I suggest getting a SIM card for the unit so it’s always connected 👍🏼 safe travels!

@@onduhrhoads I meant to say there’s a sticker on the vehicle showing it can haul MAX 3,800 lbs but it’s suggested NOT to. That’s still under 9,999 GVWR. I would never insist on going over legal limit

Freight operations are the toughest business there is and the problem guys like us don’t realize is we are Tiny fish in a HUGE pond. Companies like Evergreen can beat our rates any day of the week and the only reason they are giving us the loads is because there is something wrong with it like slow/no pay, they want a weekend delivery for a special shipment where like he said no one is really going to be there to unload, it’s a union receiver and they can’t/won’t unload after 3:00pm, the list just goes on and on. At the end of the day you have worn out equipment and a hard lesson learned.
