There's a code you can enter at the title screen for a capped 30fps. There's another for a more consistent 60fps with trackside details removed. 30fps Mode: At the title screen, press Up, A, Down, Down, Left, Right, B, B, UP. 60fps Mode: At the title screen, press Up, A, Down, Down, Left, Right, B, B, Down.
I made the mistake after playing this game off screen that I should've turned the V-Sync option off in ReDream, would've gotten more consistent performance without as much drops to 30.

This was my childhood... our uncle sent us a PS1 for Christmas and it came with this disc. My dad wasn't the biggest fan of video games but would still take us to blockbuster every week to pick out a game.
I always hated the fact you couldn't buy certain cars in the game, and the fact that some you need to play online to earn, but thats now impossible after the Xbox Live 1.0 Shutdown. I'm also amazed to find out there were certain cars in the game that were cut. Thank all of you for this. I just had my Xbox Soft Modded just to try it out.
Ah yes, old memories coming back, but I am currently playing it rn as of today 😅. I wish these mods were available on Xbox, specifically the 360. Would be so fun.

I challenged myself to keep using the Top for as long as I could and I drove it carefully during events and stayed aggressive during demo derbies and push off events (Take way less damage when you do the hitting vs getting hit) and I actually managed to get to rank 70 with it before modding it at all and now I still use it modded while being ranked in the 60's. The Top handles well, costs $64 to upgrade fully and is super cheap to maintain, it allowed me to save up for a Cannon station wagon and fully mod it and use as my main car now that my trusty Top is at 50% permanent damage. You should honestly try it, its better than it seems, especially upgraded.
