Test Drive: Eve of Destruction - FULL Career Playthrough 

Wow does this bring me back. Absolutely loved this game as a kid

I challenged myself to keep using the Top for as long as I could and I drove it carefully during events and stayed aggressive during demo derbies and push off events (Take way less damage when you do the hitting vs getting hit) and I actually managed to get to rank 70 with it before modding it at all and now I still use it modded while being ranked in the 60's. The Top handles well, costs $64 to upgrade fully and is super cheap to maintain, it allowed me to save up for a Cannon station wagon and fully mod it and use as my main car now that my trusty Top is at 50% permanent damage. You should honestly try it, its better than it seems, especially upgraded.

Never knew there was a patch to use L2/R2 for gas n brakes. Are they pressure sensitive, like on Xbox ?

Recently played through this again. Truly one of the simplest, most fun racing titles ever i feel. If you play it again, try and get an ocelot from the salvage yard. Worst handling stat but its actually one of the fastest cars in the game behind Orbital and Rocket. Fillmore is actually probably the fastest of the mid tier cars and almost reaches Orbital and Rocket levels of speed. If you havent guessed during your playthrough, the speed and handling stats are not really accurate, and the various gear ratios and top speeds of the cars can vary wildly. Also the Destruction derby cars marked with D actually have a weight modifier! The durability stat is completely independent from the weight of each car, but each D car has a weight buff. The things the game doesnt tell you lol.
