The age of steam, for most people it's old technology but to us it's the golden age of the railways. Welcome to my channel and if your a fan of steam engines then you've come to the right place. Despite being one of the younger generation of railway enthusiasts im a huge fan of steam locomotives and steam traction. On this channel there is a mix of both video's that were shot at heritage railways during either normal working days or even during special events like a spring or autumn steam gala. There is also video's of railtours from both lineside/station locations aswell as from on-board. I even on numerous occasions film some gaming footage from when iv been playing the game Train Simulator and very recently other Xbox games like Harry Potter. I've also started playing PS4 games like Driveclub and Train Sim World. Enjoy my video's and don't forget to hit the subscribe button for all the latest video's on the channel.
Was a good trip travelling behind 7029 that day as not only did the 74 year old boy still put on a damn good show especially with the soundtrack it was making, it means iv now got the full house for the preserved double chimney castle's. Apart from the issues I had earlier in the day where the Transpennine trains I travelled on either broke down or had to be diverted, 7029 for haulage made up for it.
You guessed correctly, her comments on those Spanish pieces of rubbish compared to proper British built engineering irritates me hugely. Steam will always be better than modern traction and given the reliability crap I saw yesterday with multiple DMU's, you can be assured that steam engines can get you home even if on one cylinder.
Ah! How I remember firing my last castle on the Pembroke Coast express to Swansea, where the Landore men took over with a fresh Castle to Paddington. 50 years ago.
Have seen the review you did on on the Vintage Trains trip with 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe when she travelled over Shap and I definitely was impressed with it. Not done bad with other narration work iv seen from over the years as don't you voice characters for other RU-vid series's.
25:10 What a lovely man, and a pleasure to listen to. 'Must be extremely staisfying to be carried about in such a lok by two of one's lovely daughters? But, I must caution the viewer not to do what is seen at 25:10. When picking up a hoop with the staff/token/&c in it, with the right hand (in this case), one must clench one's hand into a fist, fingers curled backward into the palm, thumb tucked IN-side the aforesaid fingers (aka: nothing sticking out). Failure to do this will sooner or later result in a broken finger (or two). For the sake of the person on the ground, the hoop being released should be held in the left hand (in this case) with the left palm facing backwards, so that one's own fingers naturally release it to his grasp. At 8 mph, this stuff is not really crucial. At 40 plus mph, it is.
Sad to think that all of the 508's are now extinct and none we're preserved. 1 class 507 no 507001 was saved for preservation for £1 so atleast 1 class 507 is going to survive which is better than none.
I take it you needed to position the camera quite a way out towards the platform edge so that you didn't have too much of the platform in the video. I can actually see the camera move sideways a fraction.
With it being such a small tripod iv not had any issues to date but im extra careful with how far out it's placed. I have spotted that the camera did move but on this occasion it was a case of quickly get the GoPro camera down and then get the big ones set up as thanks to bloody Merseyrail I only just made it. I made it with roughly just 10 minutes to spare, it was that close.
If you mind me asking why not try and do a collaboration video with other RU-vidrs. Jake Bonner is a good chap to film with and im unsure if things have been patched up with you two but Harnetty.
I have brought up collaboration work with some people previously but nothing has ever happened. I do on rare occasions see Jake Bonner and hopefully I will be seeing him when 7029 is making it's visit to Scarborough. As for your other question about RH, things haven't been patched up between the two of us and given his attitude towards me aswell as not being able to face me like a grown up, but hide behind his parents was not only cowardly but childish too. If he wants to interact with idiots like that muppet from Rochdale then so be it but if he can't face me like a man and say it to my face then he can f**k off. Both him and Jamie Twonkby Donkey Maltby I want nothing to do with either of them.
There was even that muppet who watched my video of 44871 arriving in Preston and he spat his dummy out at me and didn't have the guts to say it to my face. Honestly I cant be bothered wasting my breath on people like that as one day they will end up in real trouble. Basically you offend the wrong person and you pay the price.
@@MasterMoyle none of those idiots I have a liking for. Harnetty is just a spoilt little brat who likes to hide behind people rather than say it to their face, iv seen Jamie Maltby and he's also given me vulgar attitude and I think I know who your talking about regarding 44871. If it's Jordan Griswold your talking about then iv had to deal with his abuse too, but I just ignore him.
There certainly was a few shocked faces when she sped through the station and if you listen carefully in the video you actually hear a person clapping after she has sped through the station and dissapeared.
