After the Earl had attacked Shap back in March on ex LMS metals, 5043 was not finished yet as on Sat 1st June 2024 she once again ran over ex LMS metals hauling "The Mersey Express" from Tyseley to Liverpool Lime Street with 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe hauling the tour throughout (although it did have their resident class 47 no 47773 on the rear).
In this short film from two different angles and type of shots we see 5043 speed through Liverpool South Parkway on her way back to Tyseley after the stop at the tours destination, Liverpool.
@_j_loco_ was also travelling on-board today's tour and lets just say atleast we've both had haulage behind 5043 this year now. Next month iv got the run with 7029 Clun Castle to come so we'll soon see what a British Railways castle is like in comparison to the Great Western Railway example which is 5043.
