I just deleted my comment about the Hedda Hopper anecdote, because I didn't realize Suzanne relates the story of this episode. I guess I'll add back the part that friends of the family, who would visit us in the 1960s, grew up next-door to Suzanne in New York and she was like a sister to the two brothers. They said she was very scatological, and smoked heavily.
She had a beautiful voice here. As she got older it became more deep and "husky". Unfortunately, she smoked way too much and eventually caused her early demise. She was a beautiful, talented woman. may she rest peacefully.
I remember this when it first aired on TV with all the soap stars and as I started re-watching this, it jogged my memory of that goofball twist ending . Still a good tv movie
Gorgeous well built woman, especially that ASS! She smoked her cigarettes seductively. On a "The Fugitive" TV show episode, she awaited a light from Lt. Gerard, and the sexy thing took her drag and blew it right in his face. Tremendous sexy smoker's voice!
Yes, our girl, Suzanne had a lovely husky voice and each time she smiles, she melts my heart. Wow! what a peach and what a magnificent versatile actor she was. Suzanne is just irreplaceable!!!
A very human, touching TV-movie. Suzanne Pleshette, is the gorgeous protagonist, whose husband has a stroke that leaves him paralyzed. With not enough money to pay for the hospital bills plus put food on the table, she goes out to find work and friends help her find that job. She also finds a new love interest, but she is torn between the loyalty to her comatose husband and the new suitor. A bravura performance from the gorgeous Suzanne, who couldn't be better. Do see this movie and you will cheer for this most-talented Hollywood icon of the 60's, 70's and 80's. She has a filmography that runs into infinity. Talk about humongous talent, Suzanne was IT.
She’s a such New York Jewish Princess Bitch ! ❤ Making a husband so uncomfortable by having candlelight dinner every nights, etc. She is a kind of woman, really doesn’t care about anybody else but herself! When I did not know what she was doing, I was a big fun of her❤! But later when I found out all of her activities, I started not liking her… too bad!
One of my favorite actresses. She could be funny, romantic, dramatic & her voice was unique in a good way. She was both easy on the eyes, as well as the ears.

I too am one of the million fans of the very gorgeous Suzanne Pleshette. She was a brilliant actor in any genre you could think of and proved her acting prowess in film after film, plus stage and TV shows. That gravel voice of hers was a great turn-on. When people went on and on about her gorgeous looks she replied : "Yes, when I see myself on the screen, I can't believe how good I look, but then I realize that 35 technicians made me look that way". But get a load of her looks on several Johnny Carson Shows and one realizes what a natural beauty she was!!!
