Or just cut it in by hand after painting for 30 years. Thats what i do, granted this will give the cleanest line you can achieve but it takes extra time and materials for that extra 5 percentage visual.
I am having a hard time removing the bottom hinge pin I sprayed wd 40 but it is still stuck ,I used the same pliers that you showed in your video any other suggestions other than waiting for it to loosen with the wd40?
I am not a professional either. All i would have done different is use a adhesive paint before adding the quickcrete fast setting that was it would bond together and not fall out later. It looked good , but unfortunately it won't last . You done good though with what you had.
Never use mud on trim gaps. Thats gonna crack if it moves a millimeter. Use paintable caulk next time. Perferably the highest flexible caulk possible. Then paint.
