Looks great. For trim with a spray finish I am trying to get close to especially on nicer homes the 4" and 6" mohair blend 3/16" nap roller covers from Sherwin Williams work phenomenal. Was doing baseboard repair on a CEOs house in town last year and she is super picky but those mohair blend did the trick of mimicking a spray finish.
The most important is the prep work, which you did a great job. It's just a personal preference rolling vs. spraying, but I can get excellent results rolling, however would spray for larger jobs.
You did the right thing. I always give them options and let them know price and time needed for each option and try to work with them. Most of the time the customer wants the quickest cheapest option that won’t look cheap and fast. Rarely does a customer want the most prep most expensive most time consuming option because they usually are staying working from home while I’m there and don’t want it to be all day or be a return trip.
To me, I think it’s all up to the owners or the people that are hiring you to decide how didn’t want it done… but of course if you would’ve sprayed it on it would’ve been twice as better… love your content, Mr. jalapeño…
