Greetings to you Sir.. and Many thanks for always putting out these updates. I sent you a mail about 2 - 3 days ago after you asked me to contact you via email in a previous video. I'm yet to get your response Sir.. Thank you.
@@marcusehiogie7181 commission payment are generally offset by either promotions on the app or reduced by making minimum payments as dey become due ... It's not a daily expense...so we can't add them to our calculations
It's pretty good, especially if there was no major repairs. Personally, I work two to three days a week and only in the evenings, between 5 or 6pm to 10 or 11pm. I don't make up to your figures anyway, but it saves me the stress of VIO, Road Safety, Area Boys, and traffic. I have a weekly saving plan that enable me save a percentage of my weekly earnings. This is my own strategy anyway, I thought it might help someone.
thanks for sharing sir. this was very helpful i agree on the issue of repairs, i made a video on the repairs i had done in the same month of june and the cost implication on the total turn over for the month.... do stick around (lets break it down together)
Thank you for always putting out these videos. I've done my calculation as well and I discovered that Bolt commission is around 23% for almost all my rides. Secondly, I've experienced that flush of requests when you're still on a trip several times, and it can be very inconveniencing sometimes. It happens when it rains and there's a surge. Sometimes you can't even end a trip to see the cost. Lastly, what's your take on the CNG conversion? I got a memo from Bolt asking me if I have up to 600k to pay for the conversion. Does it cost that much?
thank you for taking the time to make your own calculation, i'm glad to know its not just me 😄 about the flush of request, very true it can really be unsettling, you have to remember to click on the "stop new request" button as soon as you get started on a trip....that seems like the only fix at the moment, not a convenient one though lastly, am yet to look into the CNG conversion stories, at the moment, am not sure how safe and convenient it is. so i really can say i have any information on the subject.
Ok,if from point A drivers location to point be the destination of pick up is 10km ,fine,so do you see or calculate the Km from destination of pick up to the last customer destination?
@@idowuolumodeji3200 so... typically it will make sense to ignore the calculations of driver's location to pickup location, but if the distance is too long like 10km .... I think you should include it in the calculations or at least half of it (5km) Though generally driving 10km to go pick up anybody is not a very smart decision... The closest customer is always preferred except for few cases where d farthest customers is willing to wait for you and has a surge price too
Brody, smiles funny enough I watched ND saved all your ride-sharing videos on my RU-vid channel before making a decision. Can I share my WhatsApp number to you on here , I would like u to be my tutor. I just graduated and motivated with ur sharings thanks man. Keep earning, smiles as u would always say
Always a delight to hear that someone finds the videos helpful....thank you masterTee and congratulations on your graduation 🎓🎉 Reach me on my email.... Abujaboltanduber@gmail.com I will be much obliged to attend your concerns.
@@ayubakurokenneth2363 definitely not a bad idea ... The only challenge may be the fuel consumption.... If it's not that great you may not make a lot in profit
Greetings to you Sir.. Thank you very much for these your Ride Sharing series, there is always something new I learn. Please, how can I reach you directly? I have a handful of questions regarding the ride-share business and would need some clarifications from you Sir, and I can't drop them here. Can I contact you via email or WhatsApp?
I just sent you an email, with some of my enquiries. I apologise it took this long for me to send the mail, I was trying to resolve a login issue I had with my gmail account. Thank you.
Should be possible...but you have to pick your day....some days in the week can be dry ..... But generally I can assure you that if you work on Sunday...20k it very very possible
Good day bro. I tried connecting with you via the gmail you provided but you’re not responding to that. How else do I connect with you please treat as urgent 🙏🏾
@@abujaboltanduber is this amount after fuel expenses and commission or before the expenses? AND PLEASE IS IM ASKING ABOUT SOMEONE DRIVING HIS OWN CAR. BECAUSE I INTEND TO DRIVE IT MYSELF. I WILL APPRECIATE ANY OTHER RESPONSE AND AVICE YOU CAN GIVE TO ME ABOUT DRIVING IN ABUJA
Thanks for always putting out these videos. I always look forward to them. I've been off ride sharing for over a year now, but I'll resume this week using Bolt for now. It's good that these ride sharing platforms are giving these promos to encourage their drivers. Its good to see that Bolt has started softening their promo conditions. I think its due to the stiff competition from other upcoming platforms that seems to offer better services and deals.
Very true ..... The bolt app is trying to pick up pace in recent times .... With apps like rida and indrive dominating the ride-sharing space .....bolt is trying to kick things up a notch for both drivers and passengers by way of promotion packages..... unfortunately they don't seem willing to take off the ever so frustrating *driver's score* and *acceptance rate* .... Once they do this .... I think they will dominate the market like Uber is almost doing.....these days rides on indrive and rida sometimes tends to be more expensive than on bolt
I have become used to Uber app such that anytime I hear that name bolt, what comes to my mind is exploitation of drivers. It's very easy to get bonus on Uber because their conditions are very simple. This gives you an impression that Uber is interested in your earnings. On the contrary, bolt gives you very stringent conditions, making it difficult for drivers to get bonus. This is why I stopped using bolt.
😅 .... I feel your pain .. nothing pisses me off in ride-sharing like the bolt app.... But unfortunately they have some intriguing customers base For instance....a week ago I did a total of 70k on a Sunday....and the least amount I took for a trip was 4k.... It was a back to back great price trips..... Of course I had to cancel a lot ....my driver's score and acceptance rate is bleeding at the moment 😅
I always enjoy watching your videos. I noticed when you're calculating your net profit, you always don't subtract the commissions you pay to either Bolt, Uber or whichever one you're using. I thought your net should be "gross profit - fueling - commission = net profit." Please clarify me on this.
Very astute observation sir......so what happens is this ..... I pay commission as work is ongoing.... For instance, bolt has a commission cap of around 10 to 12k before your cash trip is cancelled....so let's say am owing 9500 and I get a long trip for which after the trip the commission may surpass the 10k limit.... I simply pay an immediate 1k or 1,500 to bolt before picking up the customer and embarking on the trip ....so by the end of the trip the commission cap is still not reached..... Basically what am saying is I pay the commission in bits while at work so when I publish a total of 68k as gross this also includes all subtracted commission for that day..... I hope you get my explanation.... I'll shed more light in subsequent video
I've had a very very terrible experience with those guys. Wuse market, Area 1, and Bannex. New drivers should learn from this. Don't ever try Apo bridge.
I like your channel because it's very educative and informative. I've been off ride sharing for over a year now, but I'm planning on restarting. Which of the ride sharing apps is better between Uber, Bolt, Rider, and Indrive?
uber is great because you can accept only trips you want to go on without getting penalized for rejecting the others....and they have good promotional bonuses ongoing at the moment..... bolt is good because they seem to be the choice of customer living in suburbs like bwari, kuje, gwagwalada.... they use other app as well but you will most likely get a request on bolt than on any other platforms if you find yourself in these areas rider and indrive are great for negotiating customers but mind you the negotiations works best if you are the only driver in the area of request otherwise 8 times out of 10 its best you accept the initial offer of the customer before someone else do....so its best to use at night times (if you work late) in summary, i'd advise that you use all these platforms ...you'll make the most out of the business
Greetings to you sir.. You're doing an amazing job here. Thank you! Please, does Uber, Bolt and In-Drive accept Peogeot 206 on their platforms for ride share? Again, is Peogeot 206 a good car for the ride share business? Particularly when it comes to fuel efficiency and cost of maintenance.
- 206 model must be 2002 and above.... Check the vehicle purchase receipt to see the model date - must have four doors and air conditioners You should be good See more here bolt.eu/en-ng/driver/guide/vehicles-categories 206 is definitely one of the most fuel efficient vehicles on the road....provided your engine systems are rightly functional 206 is a good recommendation I cannot speak to the cost of maintenance, but overall I think it might be relatively cheap even compared to the Corolla
I always withdrawal my bonus anytime I have a reasonable amount. Even today, my N20,000 bonus was used to offset my commission and I had a balance of N17,000. I withdrew immediately a headed to the filling station.
Commission on Uber is not constant. In my case when I do the calculations, I observe that sometimes they charge you less than 20 percent but sometimes it can be as high as 35 percent. I have completed trips where I saw N1900 as initial price, at the end of the trip, the final price became N3500, while in some cases, you will see N2300 as initial price while final price will be around N2600.
This actually explains a lot ... I remember at one time in the recent past they mentioned they were going to do something like this.... perhaps it's being implemented at this point.... I'll take time to observe it more closely...thank you for this input 👍👍👍
not alot, first was the constant and extreme body exhaustion, next was the endless repairs on the vehicle because it always breaks down due to frequent usage. and lastly, at the time i was still going out to work 5 times a week the fuel price had not gone up to the level it is now so kinda hard to compare the proit. finally, i'll always advise that weekend work, particularly sunday is always best preferred because of the high demand and low traffic.....
I watched the video in the link you sent, I don't know your language, I translate and write. You tell me the sequence in written form, I will translate and read it. For example, when I accept any order, I go to the cancel section and click on the bottom word option, or if I'm far away, I'm still there, and then I write something in the box that opens, so that my driver's points don't drop??
I have decided to stop using Bolt for now. I was suspended for 24 hours for rejecting trips outside my radius on Friday last week. I came back online on Sunday and worked for 10 hours, rested on Monday. On Tuesday, I completed my first trip from Gwarimpa to Jabi Motor park, while I was 7 minutes away from the park, I got another trip, 7 km away which I rejected. I received another trip, 2 km away which I accepted. Before I will complete the trip, the order was cancelled by the Rider. When I tried to go online again, I discovered my account was suspended for one week this time around. Two suspension within the space of 4 days. I still don't understand why Bolt will block me because a rider cancelled a trip or I reject a trip outside my radius. I am OK with Uber and Rider for now.
Preaching to the choir sir... I just had a month long suspension....I think they are bound to review that policy....the surge meter has reappeared on bolt and it's solely because drivers are being suspended more and more...sad!
Sorry I cannot refer anyone at the moment.... But if you do find a drive, remember to take due precautions to make sure your investment is secured....and please charge returns with a human face to it.... good luck
