How sad this was an Australian company to begin with and since being sold to a new owner in the USA we are now neglected in oz. I can't even get easy access to this in Australia and if i can find a random seller we paying USD crazy prices. No replys no care either for questions or support.
Nope. Not spending my hard earned money on this piece of junk Jeep just to have to spend countless hours ripping it apart to install sound deadening material so it is still too noisy to be considered anywhere near comfortable.
Based on averaging the dB readings at the end, I'm seeing less than 3dB noise reduction, not 6. About to get this done to my car. I'm a sound engineer and music producer. Will report back with rigorous data. Really hoping for six rather than three. 🤓🤞🏼
These are such a great idea! Anything else in the rear of the truck that you recommend adding sound deadening to for underseat subwoofers. Floorboard, behind seat, etc?
So all I have to do is take the entire car apart and put a sound dampening material on it then completely reassemble the car. Sounds like something that would have been easier for the factory to do during production. 😂
This does nothing, the trick is to add edge door weatherstrips to keep exterior noise down.. the noise is because of lack of weatherstripping on jeeps not from inside doors..
An audio company that uses smartphone audio to demonstrate their sound quality improvements… When the reality of my comment sets in, I’ll be glad to accept a set to make a proper video with, using a good mic through a laptop. I have a little Toyota project ahead of me Before/after, with/without. That would sell 👍✌️🤘
My 2023 Y had way more sound deadening than the one you showed. Every void was filled with soft foam or felt in addition to those tape strips. Also, not sure why you need to do under the floor matts because my battery pack is 1 solid structure. I'm pretty sure the Texas built ones are very different. Imo the best place to add sound deadening is the doors (especially the back doors). They have a lot but more is better. And also get a kit for door and glass seals, that helps a lot. Lastly suspension. There are options and they help road noise a lot.
Does this work for the 2023 model? As far as I know it’s unchanged from 2022. Also, could you comment on why the doors and not other parts like the floor and bulkhead?
Doesn't really answer many questions about how to get the interior out, only how to lay the mats down.. ugh I guess I'll have to hope it's the same as with the Y.
This kit was enough to install 2 dash mids, 2 6x9s front, and 2 6.5s rear. Well worth the price. Why skimp after upgrading 3 sets of speakers. It tightened up the sound. Improved quality.
No testing if it works? how much weight does that add to the vehicle? Any impact on milage? Seems like a money grab gimmick when questions like that are not answered...
Tesla should just buy this product, and make it a factory install. If not for all cars produced, then make it an option. People can select an add-on. I would.
