Welcome! I am a 20 year old who decided to drop out of college and pursue my dream. Watch and follow my journey from to start to finish, and maybe learn something along the way :). Thanks for checking out my channel, it means a lot.
Top tip-I always have a large sheet of cardboard, saved from packaging, and use that on the ground. You can literally slide yourself about on it with ease. It would have been perfect in this situation.
Good video, I like to see the inside of units so i know what to expect and how things work. I have to replace an antenna this week and this helps. Thanks
10:11 you're nailing it every step of the way, don't doubt yourself so harshly, that said, it's almost never a bad idea to double check something, this being no exception 10:45 wait no, you were right on the money The educated guesses you're making as you reverse engineer the motor's electromechanisms are ALL on the money. Even your confusion over the brushes and commutation ring inverting the DC into AC would be accurate if the motor had only 3 coils rather than 10 Though then again I guess it is still ac, it just so happens to invert the DC power into 10 phase AC. This would be made obvious if you were to modify the motor so that the permanent magnets were in the rotor and the electromagnets were in the stator (google: “BLDC motor” for a better explaination)
It's perfectly alright to not know what the “weird gear mechanism” is. The mechanism in question is what's known as a geneva mechanism Oh and I *think* that black box is *probably* a relay From a functional standpoint, it's the predecessor to the vacuum tube; the predecessor to the semiconductor transistor It isn't very efficient, but it's a fairly cheap way of controlling a high power circuit. From a mechanical standpoint, it's often quite literally a glorified elctromagnet controlling a spring-loaded mechanical contact switch
Every single fucking video shows everyone saying where the bolts, holding it up to the car, then panning to them being finished with everything... NOT helpful. If anyone knows how to tighten the control arm bolt that is sunken into the stupid hole in the brace, please give ya boi a holler.
if tour exhaust is rattling make sure u get down to the 7 11....straight after buying the booze maje sure u visit the local brothel that will fix all rattling and then some
Yes I know pretty late comment but if u haven’t figured it out it’s 2 wires coming from trans in the front to 2 wires which I believe are green and yellow from the auto shifter plug
You took apart everything except the actual antenna. I was hoping this video would show and explain the mechanism behind how telescopic antenna extends and retracts.
I hate when pro welders weight in on reviews. Of course everyone wants a Lincoln or Miller. But you can't get one of those if you are learning. So this is the best beginner welder.
I have the same. I think k when I cut out the resonator it obviously shortener the exhaust. So in winter when cold it doesn't vibrate much.. but when it's warmer out it rattles so bad. I def need to extend it. Or have a hanger pull it away. It's embarrassing lol good video man.
Gonna be adding a tie brace and a new sway bar like this to my 1998 Integra tomorrow... My only roadblock is getting the lower control arm bolt out since my idiot friend broke off the bolt head.... >:-( I noticed your upgraded control arms had threads in those three holes on the arm, to connect the end links; my LCR's didn't come with threads... just smooth holes.... should I tap the threads I need, or just use a bolt all the way through with a metal "stop" nut on the other side? I've noticed this in a lot of the videos I've been trying to gain information on... (in fact, ALL of them)
