Today i switched from Hoya lenses to Zeiss lenses. And i will drive to my optician on Monday. Maybe something is wrong with my new lenses. But the reflections are terrible on my new lenses. The color difference would not bother me. But on my Zeiss lenses i can always see my eyes. Regardless if light comes from the back or not. Even in a completly dark room (only my monitor is on) the lenses reflect enough light to see my eyes and face. It is close to a mirror. I switched right back to my old glasses becuase i am going mad.
Thanks for this video, very helpful. Where did you get the Asahi lenses on the oakleys? I am looking for those pink reflex color AR coatings since they closed Heywear stores in NY, and can’t seem to locate any other korean optical stores selling asahi-lite
Single vision lenses? In some markets Zeiss single vision lenses (even the higher end ones like smartlife/drivesafe) dont have the zeiss engraving any more.
The lenses in this video are all single vision lenses in the USA market. That's too bad if Zeiss is removing the watermark. Maybe they too are succumbing to inflation and outsourcing to China. I get it though. Most consumers don't look at the details of lenses and concentrate on the frame.
Oh I should have seen this review just a week ago. I got new glasses after lot of comparisons. I selected a ClearSightZ(A different local brand) lenses over the Zeiss platinum thinking that zeiss lenses are some what yellow like we get in blueprotect. For the duravision platinum do you see yellow or is it full clear? I will get them next time if they are clear.
Duravision platinum isn't a blue filter specific lens, but my understanding is that it still filters a little blue. The anti reflective coating is clear and reflects back a whitish/blue.
Enjoyed your video. I've worn Essilor lenses with Crizal coatings for years. They yellow, crack and craze pretty badly after 1.5 to 2 years for me. I live in a humid climate; that may be a factor. My latest lenses are Zeiss with Duravision Platinum, and they're blue photochromic as well. They transition from blue back to clear very fast as compared to Essilor's Transitions lenses. I love them. My worst eye is -14 and I can't wear contacts any more, so I've had to become really knowledgeable on glasses. It will be interesting to see how my current Zeiss lenses hold up over time vs the Essilor lenses.
How is the off axis clarity of your Zeiss lens when you look though them towards the edges compared to your other? Mine is slightly worse than my asahi lite but maybe it's because I went up in prescription
This video is pretty hard to follow. There is basically one static shot of these 4 frames for over 13 minutes, which is hardly appealing. In terms of content, it's contradictory with the title. Frames are discussed, which has nothing to do with the topic (coatings). Same for the lenses. There are too many unnecessary words or poses.
Look at description lens rating and ask questions if you have any. Clear lenses are hard to film and even hard to analyze when you have them in hand as you may not know what to look for. I suggest simply pausing video and try to see the reflective quality of lens in video as I talk through them.

My pump is still working. Should be easy enough to find a replacement PULACO 50GPH 3W Mini Submersible Water Pump for Aquariums, Fish Tank, Pond, Fountain, Hydroponics www.amazon.com/dp/B07SJGKFT7/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_K0781GKWVE187CZD2H2E
One reason I went with the upgraded filtering is to lower my annual maintenance frequency and cost on the system. I do twice a year maintenance on media. Maintenance 1 is typically rinsing of sponges and polishing pad in tap water. Maintenance 2 is typically rinsing of bio media in tap water, rinsing of 1 sponge in tap, rinsing of 1 sponge in aquarium water and replacement of polishing pad. I buy bulk polishing media and cut to size... It will probably last me a lifetime and is cheap
Hi i just got this tank and the electrical cord coming from the air pump is making me nervous! Is there anyway they could start a fire/ pose a safety threat? Sorry im new to the betta world im just not sure
No issues. It's made to be waterproof. You'll notice I don't have heaters in my tanks. Those are more of an electrical hazard or prone to fail and kill the inhabitants.
How the flip is you one so smooth? When you flick though the apps it glides across without delay, when I do the same there is a delay and plus you have so many more apps than I do!! Why is this happening on mine? HELP how do I make it smoother?
Interesting info, nice video quality but audio is a bit poor. Overall thumbs up! I'm interested in the connection with TV & DLNA capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy S and the best android apps you van use with it.
