Hi im John Follow me as a class 1 truck driver i passed my HGV Class 2 on the 17th of July 2018 and started my career on the 1st of September 2018 and furthered my Career by passing my Class 1 HGV in September 2020, Though I am relatively new to HGV driving I am not new to the transport industry as I have previously been a van driver for nearly 13 years and my Father has been a truck driver since the Mid 70's and is still going now even though he is in his 70's , follow me all over the UK as I make my deliveries and collections
I agree with your views on electric cars/vehicles John"O, all electric vehicles are doing for pollution, is move any pollutants from the vehicle to the ruddy power station, I've just purchased a new car went for a mild hybrid, so I did investigate going electric, 'but' until EV's sound like a V8 or a Ferrari & the infrastructure to service them appears, I feel going electric is a fools game,... x

Plus if you’ve found it too hot in the South you can have some of the Scottish 🏴 weather as it’s been a cold summer here Pal. Put it this way I’m 51 years old & it’s the first ever cold July in my lifetime & totally 💯% I’ll stick with Diesel ⛽️ & Petrol ⛽️ 💯% Buddy. 👍
Make you right about EV cars,whats more of a worry is how many of these productive fields are being put under solar,we are going to be very green but starving.
i drive a truck i was hit by by another truck from behind when i slowed for a broken down truck in front i was tipped over by the truck behind the driver that hit me died and i was to hurt but it done me mentally im still hornted now after two years please reinstate the hard shoulder now the thick government

You don't have to have a degree to realise that we can't live without fossil fuel. Look at the millions of HGVs moving everything we need around the Country, look at Aircraft, Ships, Generators the list is endless. Plus where is all the Electricity going to come from, we can hardly keep up in the Winter. Its a pipedream, encouraged by the People making billions off the back of it.🤬🤬

yup apparently they no longer even do a red X.. just a "optional" lane divert. a lane divert.. that any SANE person would stay in the lane till the red X, which is normal. seen a video of a tow truck driver having a flat out argument with them to get a red x. because he had no way to get out

Hi John-o, great video again. When you need to do a tight manoeuvre the road always gets busier, last week I had a tight gateway to get through in Shepton Mallet, right on the A37😳 funny how it goes from a quiet road to something like the M1 instead of the A37 just when you need to block the road🤦♀️😂 have a good weekend
ONLY live 30 min 12 MILES , north there BA2, 9HN . &60 /// 34 yrs on / off trucking . LOT new names there compared 25 yrs back 1990s . NOT two many old names / companys . NICE to see FG BOND going stroung , few , ERF, S there . Company i did bit driving for was there . SORRY to say could not make it due & current back , mobility issuies , walking / standing . ENJOY .
