Looks like the government has become far too corrupt! They're an administration service. They're in charge of nothing. Corporations and their rich criminal CEO's have been using this lobbying rubbish to bribe politicians for far too long! 😂😂 Anyone listening to these bufoons will end up broke or vaccine damaged. I'm leaving the UK. Not got a clue where I'm going, I just know its not going to be a democracy. I'll find some half decent republic to live in.
Why would they rename it? Congestion works well, they’ll use it as is to say they want a free flowing London. So if you’re driving into London you’re adding to the congestion hence the charge.

Factors in the demise of motorcycling include: a ridiculous obstacle course to get a license, negative propaganda against bikes, plunging used values, rising insurance premiums, theft, potholes, price of gear, lack of local bike shops, electric bicycles and scooters, bad weather (of which we've had lots in 2023/24). It's mainly an old man's game, in contrast to when those old men started out and biking was a young guy's hobby. Utility riding and commuting is a fraction of what it was, and then largely on cheap scooters.
Let's hope that thing never comes to America! Reminds me of the cheesy Yamaha V's from the 80's, dorky and unimaginitive in style. This bike not only has odd squareness to it's design but that exhaust note is terrible.
I have a mach e with standard range battery and rear wheel drive. I live in New York. I’ve had it for over 1 1/2 years, aside from the range loss in cold weather it handles excellent. All wheel drive reduces the range of any of the batteries by about 15%. Since we only get heavy snow a couple of times a year, why lose range all year? I love my Mach e. It has about 14,000 miles on it. I can actually say it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. I’m 75, i’ve owned four top of the line Lincolns as well as many other great cars. None of them comes close to the 23 Mach e premium we now have. The key is to be able to charge at home on a level 2 charger. We’ve made a trip to Miami Florida, and Quebec Canada. No problems using the super chargers, although you have to factor in extra time for charging. The average charge at a super charger is about 30 minutes. With all the convenience and safety features, this is a great car!
I was tossed between this bike and the Moto Guzzi Stone 7 Ten. Your review is so good and non-biased I have made up my mind, I'm buying the Seiemmezzo. While I ride with my wife, the accessories you can get allow for light touring with bags AND trunk that keanly match the style. I am so impressed and knowing the engine is a Kawasaki motor just make it that much better. Thanks for the great review.

I wanted to take it out for a spin, but it didn’t happen. Garage space seems to be the limiting factor with motorcycle enthusiasts. Think the younger gen are going with the electric bikes and scooters for the fun. That and the astronomical cost of purchasing and running a motorcycle now is becoming more prohibited.
Millennials don't seem to be interested in riding motorcycles. Baby Boomers like myself who have been riding motorcycles for decades are now in our late sixties and seventies. I'm now 68 and have just purchased a new BSA Gold Star 650 as a stablemate for my Harley Sportster, will this be my last new motorcycle, I wonder. So long as I can get my leg over the seat of a motorcycle, I will keep on riding.
Yamaha R9 is rumored for years… but for real, it would be a really unicorn in the current market as there is not really a gap between the 600cc and 1000cc sport bikes. Maybe the Panigale V2 or Mv Agusta 800 but those are ridicolously expensive and unreliable

I found it is a different kind of riding, I always was intrigued by the B5 but poo pooed the idea of owning one because of the 27 horses and pondering looks although the overall look has always been extremely pleasing. All I wanted was speed,power and sharp handling which I have enjoyed for many years at sensible levels. However RU-vid reviews and main players on here for the Royal Enfield convinced me to buy a B5 to give it a chance… In short I absolutely love my it. My B5 I love everything about it and if honest I would have bought one years ago. It’s characteristics make it such a pleasure to ride and just relax taking in the surroundings is therapeutic. I must be honest and say I do miss sports performance sometimes and fancy a good ole buzz however a few miles on the Bullet sucks me back into the chilled side and realise that speed is not everything 😂 Long may the Bullet live on in any engine size.
I'm happy with my Suzuki cruiser, I've had it now for 14 year and it still draws 65 to the gallon the only reason I wish to down size and venture in to the 250 - 500 cc bracket is down to needing something a bit nippier at commute time locally, and as I travel the cruiser is ideal for those lengthier runs. As for electric, why would I expose myself to the risk of not being able to charge as and when needed especially as I live in a rural area, I mean that in itself defies the logic of jumping in the saddle and nipping of out to see the mates at my convenience, have you seen the near punch-ups at the car charging points in the towns between electric car drivers? And as some of the other peeps in the comments have pointed out the costs are rising and it does seem to me that the promoting benefits of smaller cheaper to run vehicles that produce less wear and tear to the roads not churning out the pollution a car does, is being organised by people who in winter see one snowflake touch the ground then insist on going home because they don't want to get snowed in.
Always love when we group by cc. So 4 cylinder zx4rr doesn't even make it in to 501-700cc bracket, while a twin cylinder r7 689cc which is comparable to the 400, is in same category as a 4 cylinder 600cc r6 supersport. Makes no sense but does help sell weaker bikes with bigger numbers.
There’s a theory that 50cc sales have collapsed because people are buying electric bicycles which obviously don’t require a license, insurance, road tax etc.
Go to any bike meet these days and the majority of people there are over 60! For young people, bikes lack practicality. Commuting on a bike is difficult (no secure parking) and frankly dangerous. Just listen to the trafic news "A2 closed due to collision between a motorbike and a lorry". This happens at least once a week even though there are hardly any bikes on the A2. I see 3 or 4 a day at most). Ending bike sales by 2035 probably won't affect many people. Existing bikers will be on mobility scooters by then. Sad, but that's the way it is in England.
High inflation is biting the moderately wealthy now too. Labour will make the economy worse, tax more, and reduce freedom, whilst forcing net zero on us all. Anyone with a brain is waiting to see what’s going to happen…
Yoofs want electric scooters, and that means the tiny wheel things with no seats. No helmet to mess up your hair, cheap to run, and illegal pavement and road riding to annoy OAPs. What's not to like.
Honestly the 90's 2000's they had it right. Bikes had way more performance than what was needed without all this unnecessary tech were affordable. Also motorcycling doesn't get the coverage it deserves on free or affordable media outlets. Track ticket prices have skyrocketed so less people are going to the track to see the bikes they would purchase as OTR versions of. Combine all of this with standard of living crisis, inflation, and a lack of prosperity in addition to just running and maintaining a car or two makes that joyful toy for the weekends and sunny days just out of reach for most. My opinion anyway. Used to work for Motorcycle City back in the day.... we sold out of the showroom around 20-30 brand new bikes a week. Friends still in the trade are talking 3 bikes a week now and none of their young staff think that what we did in the 90's is even possible.
