The Media Knights are a duo who are passionate about filmmaking and are learning more about the process one film at a time. We're also catching up with all the films we missed along the way, while keeping up with the latest releases in the world of cinema.
Our ultimate goal is to make a feature film of our own. However, to achieve this, we recognize the importance of learning from both the successes and failures in cinema, understanding what worked and what did not, in order to refine our craft and create something truly exceptional.

I didn't like this movie when it came out and i still don't, in fact i dont know anyone that does. The problem for us is that this movie cancels aliens by killing rebbeca and hicks and making every thing that rippley went through was for nothing. We don't care how well this movie is made, you can't square it up for us that saw it in theaters.
I can see why some people don't like the movie, but I enjoyed the concept of a Xenomorph running loose in a sci-fi prison along with the movie exploring the good and evil in all the characters.
Unpopular opinion, i actually like this one...but yes not as good as the first 2. Its so 90s moody so i actually enjoy it. Dont like any after this including the new ones.
This is one of the most underestimated movies of all time. All of the following movies tried to get back to Aliens... and all did just fail. But, Alien3 did not go that way. It went back to the original movie. We got one monster. Hiding in the dark. And I love this movie for it. Btw, there is only one cgi shot in the whole movie. All the other creature effects are done by using a puppet. I admit, it looks silly. To people who are used effects of a quality of Dune. But I even like the puppet effects of Alien3. Because I have seen this movie, back in 1993,as a kid. And those ear, unsettling creature effects just increased the increased the horror of the Xenomorph to me. It seemed so unreal. But still threatening as hell. It was just... Alien 😉
After having seen the power of Lady Galadriel, it should put into perspective just how valuable of a gift it was for Gimli to receive 3 of her hairs. She was born in the Year of the Trees 1362. That's before the First Age, and that makes her almost 8,000 years old at this point in the story.
I never actually watched this version.... The host in the theatrical release was a dog right? I think i did know it was this animal originally that never knew this cut was made .... now i need to go watch it in full
Most people were very unhappy about Hicks and Newt being killed off. They could have been included in this movie. Alien 4 is about the same as this movie, rating wise. Totally different movie story. Ripley is in the next movie, all star cast. Not a spoiler......
Denise... You are seriously a sharp and brilliant mind. I've watched you pick apart elements of stories and situations countless times and its extremely impressive to see how much you can capture and process all at the same time.
my first Alien Movie seen in the theater because I was 12 in 86... it was awesome to see it on the big screen. I didnt really start to dislike it until I watched a few more time on VHS... But still not the worst.
CGI is over rated - I hate seeing movies today that have nothing but CGI - you can see how fake it looks - for example - Star Wars Episode 5 when you see Yoda and Episode 1,2,3 Yoda CGI looks terrible close up - also - CGI buildings that look fake - the practical effects were way better and stop go animation instead of CGI
I have to defend FIncher's Alien. I liked the mood, the darkness and the coloring much better than the 2nd part. Cameron's movie was entertaining, but copied too much from old classics for me ("Ants!, for example"). Fincher brought back the claustrophobia, the hopelessness and the violence of a single Xenomorph. Cameron brought more of everything, like to the most predictable sequel. Fincher had the courage to end characters, he was simply more consistent and drastic. That's what I want from a Xenomorph movie. By the way: The chase scene from room to room always reminds me of the last few minutes of Rogue One, where Darth Vader appears.
One of the differences. Instead of a cow. It was one of the inmates dogs. The dog found it n barked at it. The dog had wounds from the face hugger gripping so tight. It was a rottweiler. I think in the years leading up many people were upset that it was a dog, so they changed it to a cow. Given the characteristics and speed of the alien it deff came from the dog. Yes the Xenomorphs take on genetic characteristics of their hosts. Edit: also the first guy who bit it into the fan. He was looking for his dog. He was asking if that was it when looking into the dark hole
What I love about the time machine constantly not starting in important moments is its accurate.... The actual real Delorean was LEGENDARY for constantly breaking down lol
If this weren't a follow up to Aliens it would be considered a great film by many of those that hate it now. I do hate the CGI, but the dark David Fincher atmosphere and interesting location, along with some new interesting characters, really create a solid product.
I absolutely love Alien 3. Severely underrated. The first is horror, the second is action, and the third is tragedy. I honestly see it as a near perfect trilogy.
I love Charles S. Dutton in this too much. I remember watching it thinking how he would make a great Apocalypse for X-Men for just how grandiose and imposing he was in this. As far as the film quality is concerned. There is this metric where film is measured against the most liked sequel that I just don't think is proper where a film should be weighed on it's production and metrics. I think this very well done in it's own right. Else hoping you go for Prometheus. Speaking of production quality I'm over the moon on that one and don't really see it covered on YT as much as I'd like.
I actually love this movie. I don’t think it’s as good as the first two, but it definitely stands on its own and I don’t get the hate this one gets. The movie after this one, Alien Resurrection, does suffer a slight dip in quality, but is still a worthy entry into the Alien franchise, even if it is steeped in schlock and cheese. If you watch it you’ll get why. If you do continue with this franchise, Prometheus and Alien Covenant are definitely good ones to watch.
This movie is much better than people say about it. It is not a happy ending, and the killing off of Hicks, Newt and Ripley and that pissed off most fans. And that is 9/10ths the reason people didn't react positively to it. But the film IS very well made and is a actually good movie. It just very dark, and not the heroic yarn people hoping for. I personally like it. A lot.
A lot of this movie, like the beach in the beginning, was filmed in Northern England not too far from where I live. A lot of the actors playing the prisoners were just local guys, which is why their accents are quite thick. My brother in laws best mate was one of them 😂
One thing Alien Cubed does is bring an element of Grim Dark to the universe. It's all bleak, dark, dreary, and you're probably not going to have a happy ending. I think that's why it was hated.
Props to Charles Dance for his sensitive and subtle performance as Clemens, including his on-screen chemistry with Sigourney Weaver. My favourite performance in the entire franchise, aside from those of Sigourney, herself.
One piece of trivia about this film is that it was a requirement from Sigourney Weaver before she agreed to do it was that that there will be no weapons (guns specifically) to fight the xenomorphs. Its not the best film in the series but its definitely unique and I enjoyed it.
Bob Zemeckis has literally said they'll remake this movie over his dead body.... and he means it literally. He has the rights, and has said he refuses to approve a remake while he's alive, but once he's dead, whoever inherits it can figure it out I suppose lol
If you want to look at a game and its cinematics. Halo wars. Thise cinematics were absolutely amazing. You mjght bot line that type of game. Bt youtube does have entire movie of the cinematics and i think from your movie mindsets you would enjoy it
WELLL I TOLD YOU GUYS TO WATCH PROMETHEUSE BEFORE ALIENS not this one. This is JUNK. You watch Prometheus with its sequel Alien Covenant,. FORGET THESES Folling swquels
I don’t think it is that easy to say atom beat the metal out of Zeus because he was build sturdy. They have rules for the bots and if he is not breaking them then it is all right. There is a reason sparring bots are just for sparring.
