I’ve been looking at almost all of these metal resetting hunter field targets and I must say that combining this Gamo targets hit zone system with the crosman or highland resetting targets paddle system would be the best of both worlds. The highland targets resetting paddle is in the center of its body so your resetting shot would also be a kill zone practice shot compared to the crosman squirrel where the resetting paddle is below the targets silhouette. In concept all it would take is buying the two separate systems and to drill a hole above or below the paddle hole on the target. Then toss the metal rings in to restrict the bullseye as you wish and bingo, no more string pulling and you always have the option to restrict the bullseye. 🤷🏻♂️
I was looking for this specific video on how to you these patches because I just bought them however wasn't sure how to use it even tho I had an idea how to. But you just clear everything up for me. Thanks for the informative video.. 👍
This was a fantastic review. Great stuff! Thanks very much for sharing this with us.🙏🏻🇨🇦 I have just got my first Accu-Tac, (FC5-G2), which I think will be the last bipod I ever buy. They’re a lot more expensive to buy with our lowly Canadian dollar, BUT as you’ve made abundantly clear-ANY other bipod looks and feels like they were made from cheap material, by slave labourers for a low price-dare I say "cheap"? Harris, Atlas…I’m shocked by the humongous difference in quality. You can see it and feel it. I bought Accu-Tac’s "Sling Stud Rail Adapter"-again not cheap but it’s built to last generations! If more people knew they could get an adapter made by ACCU-TAC for ACCU-TAC Bipods to use on a rifle that has no Picatinny Rail, they would choose to. I have done a lot of work to find out that there’s a simple solution.
Wonderful! Yeah, the Accu-Tac's came out on top in my "Top Picks" video as well. I compare bipods within 3 different price ranges and pick my top 3. I'm really glad my video was helpful and really appreciate the compliment! It was a lot of work making all these bipod videos! LOL!
Thanks Tom for the great video. My problem is it needs to shoot a little faster. I bought mine about a year and a half ago. My main concern is that when I have it on high it has an average 925fps with .22 caliber 14.3gr pellets. When I turn it to medium it drops to 620fps and when I go to low it is 430fps. What could be causing that? Thank you for your time.
Hi Steven, Have you tried the 18gr pellets? The Royale's have always been a fan of those. 18's at about 905-910 (IIRC) is magic! How fast are you looking to go? If you break the speed of sound, there's a good chance you'll see your groups open up. Regarding your question, there is a balance between the regulator and the hammer spring adjuster (Part #D2) If you have adjusted your hammer spring already, you may have pushed it too far? If you've adjusted your regulator, without a reg tester, it may be set too low. (A regulator tester is the ONLY way to accurately adjust those regulators.) Be advised, the hammer spring adjuster has loc-tite on it! You have to heat it up to break the loc-tite loose or you'll strip the hex key hole. A side option might be to grab a HUMA regulator from AoA. I've been thinking about picking one up for my loaner R400. 2 reasons... 1) It's HUMA which means it's quality 2) It has adjustment marks on it so, no need for a reg tester. I'd post this question on Airgun Nation. You'll have advice coming from all over the world from people with huge amounts of knowledge about this.
@@Atoyota25 thank you. I do also shoot the 18gr but the fastest they will go is 830fps. I like to shoot them at around 930fps. I wish it was as easy to adjust as my crown, impact m3, the king or the alpha wolf. My red wolf pushes the 18gr at 980 on low. I will check out that website you suggested. Thanks again.
My system for a Ruger 1022, I use the white jag and a 1 1/8” Pro-shot patch wet with synthetic gun oil. A package of 1000 pro shot patches is the same money as 100 patch worm felt. 😊
I had a dog like that! SQUIRREL!!! Great info. I bought a used scope online 😢 and the turrets are really hard to turn. It must be locked into a corner. I’ll start with the mirror. Thank you.
Fucking brilliant! THANK YOU! I bought a used scope and fought with the knobs to zero it. Got it close but knew there was a problem. I’ll find a small mirror and check it out.
@@Atoyota25 Thanks for getting back to me. It’s a Vortex LPVO. A 1-6x24 PST Gen 2. I put a mirror in front of the objective and saw the faint shadow crosshairs, but they appear really well lined up with the brighter crosshairs. I put the red dot on a low setting and that confirmed it. That said, I did it with the scope mounted on the rifle and may have not had the mirror completely flat against the scope. This is my “go to” rifle so as it is dialed in well enough right now, I don’t want to mess with it until I have another set of optics on hand to replace it with, in case I have to send it to Vortex. A friend of a friend has an EOTech and magnifier for sale…
@@Atoyota25 I’ve heard great things about them, and I have other Vortex scopes but I didn’t buy this one new, so I’m not sure how that will affect a warranty claim. We’ll see and if you like, I’ll get back to you n
I like your videos on the 1400. I have mine from 1974. Watching your video I could not understand how to take the safety out. The gun has been working fine pumped it up flipped the safety forward to shoot and it’s locked on safety now and I cannot resolve it. Any help would be appreciated. I’m 74 and trying to figure it out. 😂Thanks.
Hey nice video. Question, I got me some of the 65's, but 4 rounds from my Benjamin Marauder wouldn't set them off, even from like 30 feet away. Pellets either just stuck in the cases or cracked it. I was using hollowpoints .22 pellet rounds... Any advice or thoughts on why mine didn't explode? Gun not powerful enough? Hollowpoints bad? Thanks!
@@Atoyota25 thanks for the quick response… I actually attached it to one side of my solid metal outdoor pellet trap. I only tried one exploding disc so far because it got dark here but will try some more tmmrw
I actually got it to work by using a different pellet... it didnt seem to like the hollow points. I tried with a Gamo Hunter and holy s*** - these things are LOUD!!! Like so loud there is no way I can shoot these around my house.... but was worth it !
@@noonesbiznass5389 ROFL!! 😆 Yeah, I know what you mean! They echo off the mountains where I'm at! Glad you were successful, Thanks for the update and the info!
How in the world are you supposed to remove the rear end of the bottom tube on the non-selfcocking first variant? I have a late 54 model 140 and the plug at the rear of the preasure tube is totally different and will NOT come out to allow me access to the hammer and the part in front of it in order to completely clean everything. It looks like there are only 1 or 2 parts different between the self cocker and non self cocker according to the manual vs looking at my actual 140, but I cannot find ANY info about these rear plugs on the early versions (only finding schematics for the 2nd gen up!
I uploaded some shorts about my DIY self resetting moving target system. Takes a couple of days to build and no more then $400. Powered by a cheap cordless drill which allows you to change speed easily. Great fun to shoot and no running up and down the garden in order to reset them. Take a look, you might like it!
@@atibaodusanya7104 Than ks for asking but, no way am I selling mine! lol! They release some on their website from time to time like "Trump 2024" edition. Other than that your best bet is to send it to someone that can strip it and anodize it for you.
I don’t blame you as it’s a rare item, I’m currently in search of a powder coater to do such but not having any luck. I appreciate you getting back to me. Thanks again.@@Atoyota25
I can't answer for sure but, one of 2 things would probably occur. Either nothing would flow or there could be no pressure restriction. But, these are mechanical devices. I haven't heard of them failing.
@@Atoyota25 Got it, and thanks for confirming. Not at all a big deal, but my favorite shooting range is set up in a way that having the bipod legs forward is a must (high tables, low targets and no prone shooting) so I'll figure something out.
of nvm now I know that the purpose of doing this!!! it's to make erector tube centered right? so after it center we start to zeroing our rifle with it and it will hold zero better right? am I wrong or not,, if not then this video is a gem❤❤
lol... well, not all airguns are cheap as hell. My competition rifle is about $5K all together. Optical zero is definitely handy for powder burners as well! Thanks for the comment! Happy Shooting!
@@Atoyota25 yea I know airgun is expensive in us that's crazy since I have 160$ airgun and can fill my fridge.. I mean is airgun pellets is much cheaper than the burn powder bullets 😁
What good is optical zero when you're not in zero once you adjust for target zero. Unless of course, you employ a fully adjustable mount whereby, you can set an optical zero on target by a D justing the mount. Then tweak it in using the turrets that is already close to optical zero via the adjustable mount.
Just bought one a month ago. I shoot off of a bench 90% of the time. I now own two of these bipods, they are freaking awesome!!! Loctite the feet kids and you're gtg
