I was with you for most of this and then you said this story wasn't relatable. Like girl... you're probably a yt girl who's never faced adversity when it comes to race or discrimination from the police. Please do not talk about "not relatable"...
does anybody remember the lost gamejolt game called toybox? it was a game that was lost in 2018 due to the game being deleted off the face of the internet, tho the final release of the game was perserved, the demo for it was lost and hasnt been found since, if anybody has a copy of the demo please put in a google drive
I'm surprised they didn't try to pitch a Dead Space game to EA. The engine could clearly handle both the atmosphere and the accurate hit detection necessary for it.
I think the only reason this game wasn’t widely received as “relatable” is because it didn’t appeal to a white audience. White people were not portrayed as the heroes and instead the villains so y’all couldn’t place yourselves in the shoes of Sean and Daniel. As a black woman, I’ve always had to find ways to relate to white characters and characters of other races, so I’m glad the SquareEnix and DontNod team didn’t feel the need to coddle white audiences with another white savior story. LiS 2 is the best game in the series
It looks not really better it’s like okay we have now 60 frames that’s great but common just to make some money but I will say nothing if LIS Double Exposure gets great 👍
The bugs are very little. Sometimes the game won’t let you do an action. You have to reload. Tho it only happen once. I wouldn’t pay full price tho. $30 for all of them is worth it. The graphics are a bit better. The background looks better but the models of the characters didn’t really need it. Tho it doesn’t look bad tho. 4.5/5.
Fingers crossed one day we'll get a Dementium 3, as well as a proper remaster of 2 like we got for the first game on switch. (Dementium 2's pc remaster was pretty bad 😭) Excellent review!
Just picked up the remasters and lis 2 the complete season for 30 on the steam sale 😅 I’ve only played all the games 100000 times on ps4 but never got around to getting the remasters but for 30 bucks I got 30 games so why not
Personally i’m a huge fan of lis 2 and prefer it a bit more than the first. Now not to say the first was bad i absolutely loved it, but it never really pulled me in the lis2 did. I would always pop in here and there while lis was coming out, but never felt to strongly connected to it and and because of that i never got into the second game until 3 years after it first came out and playing through it i was so drawn in by sean and Daniels relationships with me being an older brother and, just how much i had in common with sean compared to max, from interest to personality, and how i felt like the story had more this just one focus of political racism, i always felt like the story was fully about injustice, brotherhood/family and coming of age as a person of color and because of it having so many focus alot of people only see it through one out of the three making it feel more incomplete then it actually is. To end this off i’m not trying to say lis2 is perfect in anyway but why i personally love it more than any of the other games
Why do yall video essay people always assume people never played x thing? Man I hate these video titles. Adding a "probably" would make all the difference
I love how ppl r down here pretending this game wasn't a breath of fresh air into the AAA horror gaming scene, which is especially noteworthy considering it's indie dev roots. Weirdly enough, this game got me into fatal frame.
