In addition to my last comment: 1) the snow is the best reason to live in zerocuse. It makes the scummy look go away. 2) you nailed it on the rest of your observations. My new pastime is counting boarded up houses . DAILY Thank you Zerocuse Common Council for you lack of mental capacity 😊
Hundreds of thousands live here and are proud of their city. An extremely annoying person comes along to make a shitty video about it. And yes ! that avatar is the city coat of arms of Amsterdam, Netherlands. I hope you stay where you are.
I'VE LIVED IN CONNECTICUT, NEW HAVEN COUNTY MY WHOLE LIFE AND I'VE LIVED AND WORKED IN DOWNTOWN NEW HAVEN FOR MANY YEARS. MY FAMILY WORKS FOR NEW HAVEN PD, FBI, ETC., I HAVE WORKED SECURITY AND HIGH LEVEL SECURITY, PRIVATE DETECTIVE, AND FOR THE NEW HAVEN SCHOOL SYSTEM, AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT THIS VIDEO IS EXTREMELY ACCURATE!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE! DO NOT MOVE TO CONNECTICUT!! ESPECIALLY NEW HAVEN OR "ANY" OF ITS CITIES!!! CONNECTICUT IS HIGHLY OVERRATED, WAY TO EXPENSIVE, AND THE TAXATION IS OUT OF CONTROL!!!
Climate wise Cleveland is ideally situated to endure the rigors of global warming being in a temperate rain forest. The winters are quite mild compared to Minneapolis which has an enormous underground complex downtown to cope with the annual deep freeze. Cleveland is also an international sea port being the #1 port on the Great Lakes. The metro area contains more like 100 golf courses, and not just 8 which only counts the metroparks golf courses. And cheap housing is key because cities with astronomically expensive housing are essentially uninhabitable for ordinary people. Cleveland does not have large homeless encampments. The far east side of Cleveland is home to one of the largest concentrations of wealthy people in the country. The cultural amenities are first class. Then also we have all three major league sports plus a very popular minor league hockey team which is the farm team for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Saint Louis is far more of a shit hole than Cleveland so go pick on them.
Lived there in the 70s. Holyoke was/could be SO beautiful. Going along thru this video, I am aghast at the number of empty lots, open space, that used to be beautiful apartment buildings factories and businesses. Looks like Detroit now.... and it isn't cheap to live there.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane... I grew up in York and left in 2005 in my 40's. NAFTA decimated the jobs there in the 1990's and left it a wasteland. Remember Caterpiller, Borg Warner, Dentsply, AMP, Pfaltzgraff, ACCO, McKay to name a few... Now you can have your own business, work in a service or health care industry or be poor. My brother lived in a group home on College Ave and was robbed and almost beaten to death.
Leave the city for Medical help.... Is she kidding. Cleveland has some of the best medical hospitals in the country. People from all over the world come here just to get care at the Cleveland clinic. Was the visit to the parks and museums ... Some of the best. I think someone needs to take this person by the hand and give them a real tour of Cleveland. And did I forget the beautiful lake Erie and the really nice beaches . I can go on and on.......... Rock hall , science museum...etc; etc;
Ive lived here for over 40 years from a very small town south of the city. I disagree with all of your statements because I have never felt as comfortable as I do since I moved here. You Suck!
Are you kidding me?! Unfriendly?! I moved here from Tennessee and found this area to be friendlier than back home. Except for the snow it’s an excellent place to live.
uhh... outside fun??? THE WIND!!!!!!!!!! it averages 15 mph.... ALL THE TIme!!! 143 PARKS.... ? WITH NO ONE IN THEM MOST OF THE TIME... 18 bus routes.... 48 busses.... so less then they had 36 years ago when I moved.... to the Seattle area... little Everett has more busses then 'doo dah'..... and more routes... yes it costs a bit more....
Have you ever actually BEEN to Birmingham?I have lived in multiple states......I have lived multiple places in Alabama....I have lived her for 24 years.....Me, nor a family member or friend has ever been the victim of a crime.....walk the streets of downtown at night and never much worry so don't know what you are on about. And you list traffic as a problem and then talk about the coast....maybe oughta check out the traffic down there on peak.....nightmare. And the weather is great most of the time and heat not a problem when you are used to it. Where do you live and let me research what sucka about it.
What you miss is how friendly most people are. How good the food REALLY is. And FWIW obesity based on BMI is fairly crap and if that is the basis of statistics then I call BS. Here is a tip: By BMI most atheletes are obese. It does not take into account muscle mass or bone structure. Now, if you want to look at the average BMI for a population you are closer to what the BMI scale was actually developed to study. By example by BMI.....I am obese. 5'11" 205. But I have a 34" waist (working on that but still). If we go by BMI then my ideal weight would be 165. I weighed 165 when I was a freshman in high school at 5'9" and was a competitve swimmer with 6% body fat (I know because we were checked). Point being the stat does not necessarily lie but the interpretation can be wrong. Either way, what does someone being obese have to do with whether a place is good to live or not? There are plenty of places for exercise in Birmingham and the metro.....plenty of places to get good fresh produce, meat and dairy.....waterways to catch fish (that are largely clean waterway) state parks..... SO perfectly good place to eat well, eat out (safely) and then exercise to maintain condition. Your list seems an odd one to judge whether a place is a good place to live.
