This is not new he didn't discover anything that has bine around since fables first came out and was made easy with stairway and cat, but this is why ocg has max c so you can draw into the answer not just to gain hand advantage like tcg players see it as.
I played Fabled until new year 2013 when they semi-limited Reborn Tengu... I was in high school and worked all summer to finish it. The deck is still the same as back then, fragile, but consistent. Very few archetypes to this day can activate something like Pot of Greed infinitely and are still legal. Fabled's high level issues are that it has always relied on non-engine starters that are vulnerable to common disruptions. In TCG this build just goes for a raw turbo to set up the draw loop later in the turn. Fiendsmith is the best way to play it. Bystials work, Psychic engine works, Ken & Gen work if you know the secret sauce. Exodia is funny but don't forget this deck can burn loop or hand loop or pull off 7 negate boards from 2 card combos, basically it always goes infinite... if you're allowed to play. lol.
I knowwwwwww it fits well in a chaos deck but me as a hyper casual player will just use dragon lord as the ace when it comes out bc i can’t be bothered and want to summon LADDL EVERY TIME
nah it's kinda fair to say it's nuts on the note of the fabled support itself. not necessarily the exodia ftk. besides needing gy access and being forced to play all gas no bricks, fabled can make end boards on par with dragon link and yubel. it's incredibly hard to stop with ***certain*** engines (cough) and triple tactics cards giving you one card starters. I'm not saying fabled is great honestly it's not but it can pick almost any kind of win condition if those in-engine 2 card combos resolve or if you let them use a starter. that's nuts.
Obedience Schooled for extra consistency. I guess if there's a way to do it without Lacrima, Hyper Librarian will get the hammer again. It might not need to go for Exodia (5 bricks is a bit much), but the advantage and extention loop will surely be able to leave a hard to out field in some other way.
This new spell version would actually be terrible against lava golem and kaijus because you’d be giving them back a huge monster with none of the drawback like self burn on lava golem.
I still recall someone wanting to make this work at my locals a long time ago, it was just a weeny deck of 1 star normal monsters (but more thematic with moki moki and skull servants), used heart of the underdog for draw power, a card to let them summon multiples of them like tri-wight, law of the normal to clear the board, and triangle power to hit for game, it was about as inconsistent as it sounds. Also in case anything went south they had a small chaos package due to the light mokis and dark skull servants.
First I hear of Gimmick Puppets actually being viable, now this? I’m no modern player, I do know how to use Links at least, but hearing an old Archetype like Fabled of all things getting solid support is something that gets a smile on my face.
There's a few good old decks you can play, if you're interested. Blue-Eyes is getting another structure deck, Yubel is one of the oppressive decks rn, Evil Hero is about to be good, and just like the fabled cards here, jurrac is getting support and it's just silly; they keep summoning their level 10 synchro meteor that destroys everything when it's summoned, iirc they're at like, 5 meteors each turn? There's also the side benefit of Snake-eye being too good; everyone loses equally to them, even older decks that might have an interesting way to counter them. If you want, you could use an older deck modified to be legal to get a feel for the current metagame, and then make a more informed decision!
As the sole person who called the Lacrima ban in the TCG, this makes me hope they don't find a way to do this in the tcg somehow. That said, it is a somewhat flimsy ftk like everything else Fabled does. It needs everything to go right, Called by the Grave for the Ash that will 100% be coming down on your normal summoned Rescue cat if your opponent knows about this (and that's provided they don't instantly imperm it on summon because Rescue Cat isn't a quick effect and priority hasn't existed since the start of dinorabbit/wind-up format), Crossout for the Ghost Belle or Called by that will 100% hit the Leviathan (called by can also hit Catsith and it kills the combo since it relies on looping Leviathan), and that's all considering your opponent doesn't play Droll (or is going first playing a more pure Trickstar variant like me, which not only plays droll, but can 100% you as you do the combo for drawing, summons and hand/grave effects)
@@zeroforcequna9486 a lot of fabled monsters discard as cost, which dark world do not benefit from since thir wording specify having to be discard off card effect really the only DW monster you would ever see run in fabled is beiige, and that's ONLY for extension for more synchro plays and to give fabled access to chaos angel
dark world cards will not activate when sent as cost-- they need to be discarded as an effect, otherwise they will miss timing due to another effect taking place in their trigger window. if a typical fabled monster goes from hand to gy at all, it triggers. dangers trigger when discarded for any reason, anywhere, even banished. trying to play fabled with other archetypes that need a whole line of support to function can't & won't work. at 40 cards, most fabled decks have room for 1 other engine and 3 normal summons. if you're lucky you have 3-6 slots to add in something meta relevant. with those few slots you need to play cards that give you interactions or ensures that you can play. adding in another big discarding archetype would just ruin the full clean cut boards and win conditions that already win once they're out anyway. best to avoid a "win-more strategy" when you play a deck like fabled that is barely considered rogue with fiendsmith in it.
Shoutout to Luna in the 2010 World Champ game. I had no clue why she was putting down that trap card until she finally pulled the strategy off. My opinion of her changed instantly after that.
Don’t forget that you could pair these things with Solar Flare Dragon, which could not be attacked if there was another pyro type monster on the field and dealt 500 damage every turn. If you had two on your field, you were pretty much invincible, especially with Gravity Bind and Level Limit Area B
