Great video, would love to see more of these. A suggestion I have is that while explaining the core combo/loop, etc. if you could add a clip of it being performed on db/edopro, etc. it would be more engaging.

I played Empty Jar in my locals years ago and I'm certain I've caused some players serious trauma 😂

I love this deck in World Championship 2011 Over the Nexus. I play it with a small side engine of quick draw synchron and the plants, allowing me to go into drill warrior for more drawn out games and junk gardna, which, when leaving the field gets me another A/D changer like effect essentially, so I either synchro it off, or, if I’m really deep into the synchro line, pop it with scrap dragon (sometimes I revive Junk Gardna with the swallow grave, so it comes up more often than you might think) and the plants give me access to Formula Synchron to draw and sometimes to some toolbox synchros to deal with bs. But I do think it sacs a bit much consistency so imma retinker the deck a bit next time I open the game

This is more or less Tzeentch's deck in Emperor TTS. Morphing Jar #2, I believe, the one that shuffles your monsters into the deck, then you excavate until you can replace the same number of monsgers. Spam some card destructions to get the tools to start the combo and fill the opponent's graveyard. Set jar, flip it, shuffle it into the deck, it's the only monster in the deck, mill 20, 30 some odd of your cards. Set Magical Explosion, chain it to whatever the opponent does so they lose, if they somehow survive. Use Exchange of the Spirit to do it again. Lost to Big March of Animals, Milus Radiant turbo.

Actually morphing jar was the helper of the deck, the mvp was the cyber jar, I should know, I invented the deck! Lol that’s how you would have enough cards to card destruction serial spell your opponent

You forgot to mention, Morphing Jar/Needle Wurms were really hard to get bc they were Tournament Pack only cards (both different TP sets too); Morphing Jar was Ultra and Needle Wurm was Super.

I played an ftk. Got 18th at my regionals at the time vrs decks that where running up to 12 hand traps such as but not limited to ghost ogre, ash, drol, d/d/d, effect veiler, etc. The deck I played btw was (and I still have it) dark tempest. Basically you’d summon tempest magician using 3 specific monsters: celestial double star shaman, magi can, clear effector. Both clear effector and shaman came out together and was the last part to this combo. After summoning tempest magician with the 3 above cards, you’d use its effect to gain a counter. Clear effected would also draw you 1 while protecting the spell caster synchro (tempest) from being destroyed by card effects (specifically ghost ogre). You’d remove the counter off tempest and burn for 500. You’d use de-sync to summon out the 3 monsters and then re-sync. This time you’d use magi cats effect to target the de-sync in the grave and place it ontop of the deck before you drew with clear effector. Allowing you to basically loop the 500 damage burn as many times as you want. This dodged all hand traps during this time except droll. I have a video of it and there is a video of the deck from the regionals.

I used to run Empty Jar on MD's for the Xbox 360. The reason was i kept running into Exodia Decks on there.

you really ought to have music credits somewhere in your description or in the video.

FTK's weren't a big deal in the chaos-era/early stages of the game, but they were quick to handle it by banning the cards. 20 years later, and the game is so fast paced, that FTKs are common.

I Fell Victim to this on Dueling Network back in the day too cause mainly I was just starting to go competitive and the first Match I had was against this very deck on that site and gives me a certain distaste for Mill Decks

Been playing Empty Jar on and off since it became a thing more or less. It still works, in fact it might be more consistent than ever now, but it's also fairly easy to disrupt if you open with a couple good handtraps.

This is just a nitpick, but the card name is pronounced "tai-yoh" rather than "tai-yuu". Taiyou means sun in Japanese.

Uh, neko is meant to be pronounced as "Neh-koh", not "NEE-koh". It annoys me greatly when people mispronounce Japanese words via "English-fy" them, for lack of a better word. So, while I cannot convince everyone to correctly pronounce those commonly mispronounced Japanese words, I hope those who I correct on that, will actually listen to my corrections and not pretend they are correctly pronouncing words not from their language when they ARE mispronouncing them. But far too many ignorant people have my words fall on deaf ears
