There are images in the media list that I don't have in my google drive... Bizarre. Also once I link one e-mail to google drive media, there is no way to link another source for google drive media. Fail. What a piece of shit service.
I'm extremely frustrated with the WordPress Happiness Engineer support. They took an unacceptable 5 days to respond to my urgent message, and their response was completely unhelpful, offering no solutions. I'm left wondering if I'll have to wait another 5 days for a follow-up that may again be useless. If the Jetpack DNS cache clear service is causing these delays, it needs to be disabled immediately! Furthermore, it's absurd that even minor changes in the WordPress editor take over 2 hours to reflect on the user's end. A simple task like adding a navigation menu shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Please address these issues urgently. The current level of support and performance is severely impacting my ability to work efficiently.

SOOO great, thank you! There aren't enough tutorial videos available for full site editing for beginners - this is fab. Would love more for students and newbies who are starting with free themes and very limited Styles customisation options 🙂
This might help more its the waveform podcast talking about the fediverse and apps ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--R9CWq5CBlk.htmlsi=TQbWrJZR_o32a6JB
To your point about journalists, bloggers and publishers publishing directly to fediverse instead of just links: many of them do. But when you follow them on Mastodon, you will only see it as link. This is the platform's developers' decision (I think reasonable) that full-lenghth articles in a twitter-like microblog feed would not be a great user experience. But according to the Ghost folks the Mastodon team is already working on a better solution.
I am a total beginner. Watching yur vodeo gives me not much help. Every thing gors too fast. Do you really belive it can be remembered with this speed.? Would highly appreciate if you could make a "step by step" video. The video is not help to me, as being a New Bee.
I really love this idea, that publishers can post directly to the fediverse, instead of sharing a link to all the different social platforms, and people can engage directly.
If Wordpress implemented the federation earlier out of the box, it could have saved independent long-form blogging. Activitypub plugin should come preinstalled, or better be a part of Wordpress by default.
Always really enjoy interviews with Pfefferle :-) One thing I rarely see mentioned when talking about social media vs the social web (fediverse) is that all today's social media platforms have tuned their algorithms to bury posts with links in them. They don't want people leaving their platform, ever. This is well understood at this point in the world of marketing. For people who are, say, trying to build an email list for their upcoming book, this makes social media not nearly as worth their time as it once was. The social web solves *both* these problems. Posts with links aren't buried by an algorithm, and since you have a 1:1 relationship with your people, you don't need to necessarily build an email list (though you still can). Your Activity Pub feed basically is your mailing list!
I am building a site locally. WordPress 6.6.1 does not have Forms. Is there a reason this block has been deleted? How do I place a Contact form? I have followed this help tutorial only to discover I do not have the Block. /form
Your advice is of great value to me. They are simply grandiose for me as a beginner learning WordPress. The logic of Block Themes is not too easy to learn on your own. I would like to see more illustrative examples of replicating existing sites using full site editing. I am very pleased with the rapid growth of your subscribers on the main channel. Good luck.
Can someone please explain to me on the stats what views under Home page/Archives means? The number of visitors doesn't equal the views on that stat and I'm confused.
